Till goes deep into character for each song - as he suffers from massive stagefright! It's his way of coping with being on stage in front of thousands - but also gives us a great performance too!
Once again, Rammstein are playing with words here. "My heart beats on the left. Left 2 3 4." - Some of the members come from Punk bands so it's pretty clear they are not only NOT right-wing, but politically the opposite. Songs like "Mein Land" or "Deutschland" underline that. Interesting fact: The original music video of Links 234 is an animation of a colony of ants that is first oppressed, but collectively defeats the larger and stronger. In the end, even a human being. Brillant, provocative, and live amazing as always.
There's a political party in Germany called "Die Linke" ("Linkspartei"), I bet Till always voted for them.

I've been going to live shows since 1981, hundreds of live shows of all kinds of music, and Rammstein show was the best visual show of them all. All that heat made it that much better, because it was an outside show at Jones Beach NY.

I am lucky to be from NY, so we usually get a ton of artists, but aside from a few Dave Matthews caravan shows, and the Tech Trek, not may "more than 2 band" shows. Boo.

..The only concert i would pay to be on..! ..It is simply amazing, and they have a great power, to connect the World! I tell you a secret..i'm paraplegic.. (DON'T feel sorry for me!) ..i just say, it would be the only band i would make the efford to go out of my room, and be part of it! ..Last night, i heard a lot of Rammstein..i don't do it every day, or week, but funny coincidence you made a reaction video..i haven't heard this one, for a looong time..what a banger! ..they just suck us in a kind of energy aura, like time stops! .. On a personal note, we don't forget, the character that is your boyfriend..he looks a natural funny dude..hope he's ok! ..well..they are at the moment, touring, and have new songs..you may look at them.. and funny ones they have too.. Industrial metal with an added fist of iron. This is not music for the faint hearted. Power and energy personified. This is a fabulous track and never ever bores me. I’ve never looked into the lyrical content, thus unlocking the morals or meaning of the song. Instead, I simply enjoy the energy and power as it floods through my body. As I sit here in a picturesque bar overlooking the Albanian coastline, I’m conscious of people wondering what I’m smiling at and why my head is rocking back and forth. Well folks, it’s this powerhouse of music. Henning..a great choice. Sabina..the song is doing to me what it’s doing for you…quality reaction. I loved it.

Good to see you getting caught up in the rhythym. I went to see these guys in Milton Keynes in 2019, I'd stuffed my hip up pretty badly and was doing physio and struggling to sleep at nights due to the pain but I wasn't going to miss out for hell or high water, so codeined myself up to the eyeballs and put my physio back a week by stomping through every song, especially this one, but didn't regret a moment of it. Britain was in the midst of brex-shit, so belting out this teutonic left wing chant, 50,000 strong, felt pretty cathartic at the time. In short, Links is a banger everytime! c u in the firezone ;)

BTW, though I can't speak for Till's personal hygiene regime, he is covered in a fire-retardant gel for fairly obvious reasons. Many reactors wonder if it's blood (not surprisingly), but it is definitely the protective gel he uses to avoid immolation.

Sorry but it is a political song. Their answer to the dumb trials, to see Rammstein in the Nazi-Scene.because of the Rolling R from Till, they want my heart on the right side (rightwing), but when i look down it beats left
This song was first done as a response to the accusations that Rammstein would be a right wing band. Thats why it says that their heart beats on the left side. But also "Links 2, 3, 4" is connected to the marching of soldiers which is often connected to right wing and nationalism. Also the text is full of German typical sentences referring to the heart. Like "can a heart sing?" refers to "my heart sings due to euphoria" or "can a heart break?" is the question related to "my heart is broken".

I'm wondering, whether the "Links - Hey!!" carries some unmentioned connotations to "Sieg - Heil" that it very much resembles by the sound of it... The aggressive, military ambience of this song does not make it less...

It has definitely nothing to do with "Sieg heil", they would never use any Nazi worshipping stuff in their songs. Actually (as far as I know) this song is also about the fact that some neo-Nazis in Germany tried to make Rammstein their band as they make hard and aggressive music and Rammstein didn't like that at all. Hence the phrase "Sie wollen mein Herz am rechten Fleck, doch seh ich dann nach unten weg, dann schlägt es links", meaning something like "They want my heart at the "right" spot (right-wing), but when I look down, it beats on the left side". But the military ambience is intentional since "Links zwo drei vier" (left two three four) is (or at least was) used as a pace-setting beat for German speaking marching armies. I think it's called marching cadence.
The audience is not shouting "Hey" they shout "Rechts" (Meaning "Right" in German). It is a imitation of the media accursing Rammstein for being rightwing, when they themselves say they are Leftwing.
