a neat detail if you notice snow white is dont cast a shadow. she is the light. the dwarfs work in the dark mines. and then she come in as the sun. she is always light up so they are worshipping her as the sun. giving her whatever she want to keep her in their life. as they dont wenna go back to the dark

Marilyn Manson's videos were ok. I stopped listening to him after Mechanical Animals, but occasionally he produces great songs. He's a bit simplistic at times, but I guess this is part of the game. Coma White is absolutely one of the best.
well, i guess you're right, nevertheless check some Oomph 1999-2006 period clips, like Brennende Liebe, Sx hat keine macht, augen auf, weisse licht, they are close to Rammstein coolness wise. By the way, in 90s Oomph were the ones who really influenced Rammstein's music
I’m a metal guy going back to early Iron Maiden/ Metallica etc. When I first saw Rammstein it was a live Ich will video on mtv in the early 2000’s, it completely blew my mind, I was mesmerised, there’s no one like them out there, amazing !

This is a pretty Epic song, and most Fans can tell you that this was supposed to be the Entrance Music for the World Heavyweight Boxing Champion Wladimir Klitschko (Brother of the Ukranian Mayor of Kiev, Vitali Klitschko, who also used to be a Heavyweight Champion). The result was considered too hard by Klitschko and wasnt taken in the End. That is where the counting to 10 comes frrom. And if you read some of the lines closely, the topic of boxing still shows up (wenn sie aus den Fäusten bricht, legt sich heiss auf das Gesicht - When she breaks out of the fist, planting herself hot on the Face).

Sonne was the very first Rammstein song I heard. Booming industrial metal at its finest. The video though…miners queuing up to be spanked by someone who looked like Snow White…something of a wtf moment…wished I had been a miner🤪🤪🤪…I like queuing 🤪🤪🤪. Seriously, this is a classic song within my humble mental musical collection. The hidden meaning…whatever you want it to be. Sabina…a great reaction…there is a lot to take in. Till Lindemann (without the band) has also made a song and a video with a French singer called "Zaz", the song's title is "Palais de Larmes", great video, too (though the music is very different).

In that video Snow White gave herself a seaming deadly dose of gold. In Germany such a deadly dose is called "Goldener Schuss" ("golden shot"). Every time, the song says: "Hier kommt die Sonne", Snow White is seen or enters the scene. As she is in the coffin, just as the sun reflects on the glasses of one of the workers, the apple fell. Before that, in the scene with the coffin, all is dark and grey. So, Snow White is the sun. Without her is no sun.

I had to pause the video at 3 minutes because the look in your eyes was so "wonder"-ful. You are so emotionally expressive, my dear. As a father of adult children, and now a 5 month old grandson, I see that same look of total presence in your gaze, as I see in my grandson's when I am entertaining him. I see this video (my first reaction) as an inversion of the "natural" order. Both the original Snow White (Disney cartoon for me) and Rammstein's version of the tale are, of course, extremes of what might occur if the same thing happened in reality. One would think that there would be reached a happy medium, where both the princess and the dwarves could work together in a peaceful and productive relationship, but who wants to read about that? Lol I love this theatrical performance. Perhaps 10 years ago, I was afraid of this band, thinking that heavy metal and how they looked was, somehow, tending towards evil. I was so naïve. Rammstein are the absolute masters of their craft. The way they see the world and how they translate it in to their art is very perceptive and very clever. They are absolutely my favourite band of all time. I wish I could pick a favourite song or a favourite video but it changes depending on m6 mood at the time. I will say though, it is very unusual for me to skip a track when I play their songs (I usually play their back catalogue on shuffle) Sonne and the video is definitely up there as one of their best I think. It’s also one of my favourites played live on the recent tour, the effects were incredible. My favourite moment the video is Flake taking off his trousers to receive his “punishment” He clearly was looking forward to it😂 I adore Flake, he plays the comic foil so well but he is so astute and deep when you hear him being interviewed.

Fun fact: he chose Tina Turner's "Simply the Best" instead as his entrance song, and lost the fight. Karma! 😆 I suggest you watching the "Official making of" video, which is really interesting. The funny thing is, that they always proceed through brainstorms when they plan to release a new video - and it is always a long process, since everyone has to agree it is matching their expectations. In the past there have been cases, when they simply rejected the video completely ("Das Modell") or didn't like the final work and reshot it ("Mein Herz Brennt"). Also, there was one situation when Till decided to do a video on his own (for song "Mutter") which almost caused the breakup of the band! Nevertheless - I'm sure you will appreciate one of their most interesting songs: "Wiener Blut". It is a great song with so many unique elements that you will have a lot to discover. Also, the backstory is really dark - which is the Joseph Fritzl case. If you decide to do the reaction, please choose the live version from Wacken festival in 2013. This has always been one of my very favourite Rammstein tracks, for me it's definitely th4e best of their early stuff. My favourite part's definitely that beautifully twisted female vocal element, it's got this wonderfully dark, haunting quality to it. The actual album version of the song is definitely superior, because instead of just the sudden stop here we get just this particular element on its own to play out, it's a whimsical but rather heartbrreaking way to end the song.
During the couplets, notice the constant switching between Till's oratorial snarling and the goddamn *solar flare* of the guitars, back and forth back and forth so you never get used to one or the other. It's an old trick, but *very* well implemented.
Never heard of them. Didn't understand one word but I took the ride with you because I like seeing things new to me. Musically speaking it was good sounding metal with very good video sets, I liked the shot of the man playing guitar on the mountain top that looked so cool. Its just awesome how famous they are all over the planet, and they are way more famous everywhere else than here in Germany. Its the show the make in their concerts and the great acting in the videos, but also they are provocating with their lyrics and with their shows. I think that is their biggest effect on the crowds, you either love Rammstein or you hate them, in between there is not too much. I dont know if the documatation about Rammstein is made in english language too, but if its possible to see that docu, you should watch it its awesome and gives you an idea about their history and how the fame started back in the 90's in the USA.

Sonne is still my favorite Rammstein song. I've never seen them live, so I have to settle for watching videos. While they make generous use of pyro for Sonne, they hold back on the lighting, which I like. The performance at MSG for Rammstein In Amerika is my favorite; the lighting director and operator (if separate people) did a fantastic job with that show and song in particular.

Most original idea I ever saw with incorporating something so popular making it a masterpiece and an interesting idea with the character Snow White and the seven dwarfs they deserve all the praise for that music video
This song was commissioned by Vitali Klitschko. As a song for the march to the ring. Klitschko is the sun (Sonne). So the text makes sense. But it was too hard for little Vitali. So Rammstein has made it a hit for themselves.
The soprano voice singing in that fast tremolo like the original Snow White was pure genius! These guys really have earned their title as artists. And they only got better with time... bravo!
I think you missed a big point. She was the bane of there existence and the center of there world. Punished if they don’t bring her the gold and rewarded with affection for bringing them the gold and the end after she comes back they have to go back in the mines. And the actual translation put to the Visual into a super dark perspective.

Rammstein's take on a toxic relationship. Snow White uses the dwarves for her own ends. They mine gold for her, take punishment from her if she's not satisfied with what they provide (a bit too eagerly in Flake's case, but as Till has commented, he's an amateur masochist!) and she basks in their adoration of her. She means everything to them, she's the Sun to them and they would do anything for her. Even after she overdoses, they lovingly prepare her body, morn her and are set to guard her forever. Unfortunately for them, she revives and the whole shebang starts all over again. Absolutely brilliant video, so much imagination in it and a great twist on the Disney story while sticking more closely to the Brothers Grimm tale. . Another great reaction, as always.

This has always been one of my very favourite Rammstein tracks, for me it's definitely th4e best of their early stuff. My favourite part's definitely that beautifully twisted female vocal element, it's got this wonderfully dark, haunting quality to it. The actual album version of the song is definitely superior, because instead of just the sudden stop here we get just this particular element on its own to play out, it's a whimsical but rather heartbrreaking way to end the song.

During the couplets, notice the constant switching between Till's oratorial snarling and the goddamn *solar flare* of the guitars, back and forth back and forth so you never get used to one or the other. It's an old trick, but *very* well implemented.

Its just awesome how famous they are all over the planet, and they are way more famous everywhere else than here in Germany. Its the show the make in their concerts and the great acting in the videos, but also they are provocating with their lyrics and with their shows. I think that is their biggest effect on the crowds, you either love Rammstein or you hate them, in between there is not too much. I dont know if the documatation about Rammstein is made in english language too, but if its possible to see that docu, you should watch it its awesome and gives you an idea about their history and how the fame started back in the 90's in the USA.

Rammstein really dragged modern music into making great music videos again, they always go above and beyond.
Sonne is still my favorite Rammstein song. I've never seen them live, so I have to settle for watching videos. While they make generous use of pyro for Sonne, they hold back on the lighting, which I like. The performance at MSG for Rammstein In Amerika is my favorite; the lighting director and operator (if separate people) did a fantastic job with that show and song in particular.

This song was commissioned by Vitali Klitschko. As a song for the march to the ring.
Klitschko is the sun (Sonne). So the text makes sense.
But it was too hard for little Vitali. So Rammstein has made it a hit for themselves.
It is so creative to produce a video with totally different content to an existing Song and it works. For me one of funniest Rammstein videos.

One of the symbols in the song is the name of snowwhite in german: Schneewittchen, Schnee is also a slang word for cocaine.
The soprano voice singing in that fast tremolo like the original Snow White was pure genius! These guys really have earned their title as artists. And they only got better with time... bravo!

I think you missed a big point. She was the bane of there existence and the center of there world. Punished if they don’t bring her the gold and rewarded with affection for bringing them the gold and the end after she comes back they have to go back in the mines. And the actual translation put to the Visual into a super dark perspective.

Best video ever, and this is 20 + years old
Rammstein's take on a toxic relationship. Snow White uses the dwarves for her own ends. They mine gold for her, take punishment from her if she's not satisfied with what they provide (a bit too eagerly in Flake's case, but as Till has commented, he's an amateur masochist!) and she basks in their adoration of her. She means everything to them, she's the Sun to them and they would do anything for her. Even after she overdoses, they lovingly prepare her body, morn her and are set to guard her forever. Unfortunately for them, she revives and the whole shebang starts all over again. Absolutely brilliant video, so much imagination in it and a great twist on the Disney story while sticking more closely to the Brothers Grimm tale. . Another great reaction, as always.
Btw. when you rewatch the Deutschland video until the credits there you'll find an amazing piano version of Sonne
