At the core, it's a song about allowing yourself to be blind to your surroundings, to the point of missing out on the very things that you desire. I have to find a live performance if available.
well, and big tits... that is the real core. Rammstein is not deep and meaningful. They just wanted to show big boobs and demand them on a chick. PERIOD.
He reminds me of ‘Buffalo Bill’, aka Jame Gumbe, in The Silence of the Lambs, making his ‘woman dress’. The combination of low humour and sinister atmosphere is irresistible.
@@Drinckx2 I don't feel that they are presenting his character as sinister. It doesn't even seem mocking. Just another interpretation of someone wanting "dicke titten."

This is the best reaction video I have ever seen I like your style Sabina, letting the song play the whole way through and being able to see your text and reaction uninterrupted was perfect!
Actually, this is the most complex of Rammsteins latest songs and videos and so far no reactor (in my opinion) has really understood it. Yes on its face it is a song about massive chesticles, but there is a ton of stuff going on here. One recurring theme with the band is the thought of what is "typically german" which here plays out with the alpine/bavarian setting and the traditional clothing. Now listen to all the things he does NOT expect from a woman: There is literally nothing left, that makes her a partner, while all the girls in the video work really hard and you get the feeling, that this settlement would not survive without them. The question the song asks is therefore (imho): Do you really believe that big boobs are all men are looking for? The young boys play the Rammstein stage performance with pyro (burning the gingerbread man) and the interaction betweeen Till and Flake and the Till hammer. There is a reference to the song "Waidmanns Heil", and to "Rosenrot" (in that song it was a rose in name, but the tradition uses the Edelweiß, which he tramples on in the end) He takes a risk to enjoy the view from the mountain although he is blind. There are several puns in the video, meaning visual references to figures of speech (pounding the meat, churning the butter and so on) It is very Rammstein, to give people the option to enjoy a song (and video) without thinking about it, but also when really digging into it.

When I saw the video for the first time, I was amazed that the Staatskapelle Dresden was involved in this title. After all, it is one of the leading and most traditional orchestras in the world. Also from my hometown. But I like the mixture of classic German folk music and the Rammstein sound. Maybe I can recommend a track from a band I've only recently come across, but which immediately fascinated me. The band is called "Heilung" and I would like to recommend the video for "Anoana" very much. What a voice from Maria Franz...
I listened to Anoana by Heilung, and it was nice, but not as exciting or awesome as this song or other songs by Rammstein. It was OK, but it keeps a lower pace and is calmer than most Rammstein songs. I honestly think the energy Rammstein send out to their fans through their music is amazing, and I'm both truly impressed and so grateful for that.
I love how the music video takes a simple song about the soul soothing powers of boobs and massively expands on it with concepts like depression blinding you to the beauty around you, transgender struggles, and the demonization of the female body by religion.
Thanks for your patience, but you should have watched it with subtitles in English, then it makes some more sense :) And a hint - The antics beginning at 04:15 are actually re-enactment of some choreography of the LIFAD live tour - the boy kneeling and knee-banging repeats Till's act during the solo of 'Ich Tu Dir Weh', and then the other boy intruding at 04:20 is re-enacting Flake's role of kicking Till's butt, then paying on stage the consequences... i am sure you can figure this all out by yourself, but it appears that everything Till's character is looking for is right around him, he just can't "see" it. like all "scenery" or when he crushes the Edelweiss under his foot.
The edelweiss is symbolic for those who know it. It used to be that when a young man wanted to prove his love for a girl he would climb up into the mountains and look for some edelweiss (which often grows on cliffs), risking his life to bring her some. Tramping on it is like saying the heck with romance.
