Great spot to land a fish. I haven't found No such spot in Catfish Alley, if I ever make it there. Banks are a few feet off the water. Fence along one side, so the fish doesn't pull you in. Lol. One spot near Catfish Alley has steps down to the water. Guy in a boat acts like I am going to have to run the bank to stop getting spooled. I don't see Catfish Dave doing that. Are the Michigan Monster Flatheads pulling his boat around, because he is using a dinky Walleye rod?
First, open water I could find in MN I took my 12' marker out to take a few casts and dang if a DNR guy didn't come up and inspect my rods and gear, Been waiting for your next one!

Dave i threw out some skipjack down from the James white parkway bridge the Friday before the bassmasters classic when it was 70 degrees outside the strippers and big cats are on the move with the skipjack i managed to catch 5 skipjack that day i used one for bait and had a run from heck drugged out my whole spool of braided line then when I set the hook I felt for a split second pop broke off! I'm just a skunked kinda person.🤦♂️🤷♂️✌😁

God it must be heaven to not worry about dragging reels through the wet sand/dirt in freshwater like this. My reels wouldn’t last 4 months of that in saltwater beach and kayak fishing. Penn Spinfishers don’t even last me more than 2 or 3 years.
