Hey!!! Dave really enjoy the videos you produce very informative and entertaining as well you always have wonderful sense of humor to add to real life happenings. Thanks again!!
Catfish Dave Right on Catfish Dave. Maybe he will learn something. I still want to come fish the Tennessee river maybe I'll get lucky and run into you. That would make my day, better yet my year. Thank you for everything you do out here for us.
Definitely agree with down sizing hooks on smaller live baits. I use 8/0 or 10/0 on cut bait, drop down to a fine wire 5/0 or 6/0 on smaller live bait. I throw a lot of 5 to 7 inch live shad nose hooked for flatheads and the smaller fine wire hooks helps for keeping them alive longer.
Never caught a flatty out of that spot you’re in... dink blues and dink channels but I won’t say the name... pretty impressive. Didn’t even know flattys got up in there. Tight lines Dave. I won’t homestead don’t worry.
Dude I hooked a MONSTER tonight, got me hung but VENGEANCE WILL BE MINE! Thanks for all the vids, you're an inspiration to all us bank dwellers out here!
as he trying to land a nice flathead he fights the fish and walks to his truck and gets his net to better help land the fish....great stuff...good job....pro staff experienced Fisherman!
@Catfish Dave Here in Western Kentucky, fishing the Ohio River from bank is a bit challenging. Its basically a sandbar extending out 150-200 yards. Any tips or suggestions that could help me land more Blues? A huge thank you in advance.
Great video. Your right about they will fish that spot next. Earlier this year you fished a spot that I had fished a few times and never saw anyone else there. It wasn’t a great spot hard to fish but after your video I would just drive by to check and there were people there every time. I bet they never hooked a fish short rods and livers. People are lazy I guess.
man i love how you fish at night and no one come bother you. Here in Baltimore every time i night fishing, always some crackheads/drunks come and bother me.
Trieu Nguyen same here in Oklahoma City. Everybody from crackhesds, drunks, prostitutes, drug dealers and everybody else comes to my fishing spot after dark. Really makes me sad I can’t fish there after dark
Nice flathead Dave! I really enjoy watching your videos..actually has got me back into catfishing every chance I get..just wanna say thanks! Keep the vids coming!
@@jamesaritchie1 you are the one following me. If you are so much better than everyone here why are you following me? Do you have nothing else to do besides follow someone you don't like. How could you not like me when we've never met. Could be those 40 pound fish are getting to you a bit.
Dam what do ya mean not very big that's huge I live in Oregon City , Oregon and we have sturgeon but I don't know if we big cats where is the best place to start looking do we have flats or blues here
You’re got me saying that to my fishing buddies. You never know till you throw! Then I tell them how much I have learned from you. And how much I wanna fish the Tennessee River. Really appreciate ya sharing your fishing with me.
@@jamesaritchie1 I've caught a 100 cat. Thank you. Glad to see this poor boy can make you jealous enough to make such a comment. Looks like you are the real loser in life for letting some bank fisherman ruffle your feathers enough to make such a comment. Thanks for the comment and the views.
If James Ritchie was catching anything he wouldn't be so worried about what the bank fisherman are doing. Can you imagine the level of thought he has put into this to come up with a statement as long as that one. Now if you had a boat and wasn't catching as good of fish as the bank fisherman I could see where some resentment could come in. I need to do a James Ritchie video to go along with the Karl Kolshack video. Who knows they could be the same people.
It stays slack. I set the depth and keep reeling slack until it stops at the edge of drop off from shallow to deep. If flatheads are hunting live baits they will swim close to the bank...the float let's the bait move around more than if weighted to the bottom..sometines a bigger bluegill will cover quite a bit of water.
When you see a spot get fished every day of the week. Every time you go there someone is catfishing. Any time of the day or night someone is catfishing. When I get there on the weekend that spot has already been fished 50 times during the week. A spot that when you drive up to fish there you turn around and go somewhere else because someone's already there before you with 15 rods in the water.
Hey Dave when will you make some merchandise I need a I DONT NEED A BOAT t shirt and no w I need a "You never know until you throw" tshirt great vid 👍💪🎣🐖🥇
How old are you James Richie harrasing people on a you tube channel because you have no life of your own. Seems like high school stuff to me. Thanks for the views I'm sure by your obsession you have watched them over and over again.
Good video Dave. See you get rid of a distraction (cougar) and start to catch big fish again. A real woman would have supported and been there right by your side with a pole in her hand.
Way to go!!👍Definitely some respectable fish! That's one of the things i love about my fishing, you never know until you throw! As an avid carp fisherman, I've been targeting flatheads as well. Biggest is only 12 pounds.... So far!! Just a matter of time till i get to post a pic of a beast! Thanks!👍
I never have but got familiar with them living in remote parts of West Virginia where there was no real bait shops..helgramites, soft shell craw dads and those worms that got on a certain tree every year were popular up there
Yes sir you are the catfish champion

When using that float rig is your line slack from your bobber to your rod and reel? If not how do you keep your line tight?

how do u know if it's a high pressure area?

o ok I thought you were talking about pressure's (barametric stuff) ya that's definitely a no no.
What reels are you using
Daiwa..Sealine, Seagate, Saltist. The spinning reel is an Okuma baitfeeder
What kind of float rig are you using
It's just an over sized slip float made with pool noodle

what time of night do you go out
All hours..these fish were caught on this night between 10:00 and 11:00
