    I just assumed every NFT was a scam.

      youre probably on the safer side if you approach it with this attitude or you will be caught up in believing in empty promises and holding an empty bag. the success rate of all those PFPs trying to turn it into a profitable brand is probably 0,000...%. treat PFPs as financial instruments, thats what they are. that doesnt have to apply for all NFTs tho since there is many actual good use cases for using public ledgers to store data.

      I used to buy cheap NFTs from small artists for the art, which was a great way to support them and buy art I wouldn't otherwise be able to afford. Those are great, but NFTs as an investment is kinda stupid

    I lost around $5k on this project as well. Was a wild ride with lots of ups and downs, but definitely a lot of lessons learned! This was a great documentary and gave me insight into aspects of the project I wasn't even aware of. The PrintMyMint douchebag was definitely the impetus behind the crash. He was salty that he got caught. Too bad Becker was a coward and tanked the project as well. He was the reason I bought in, in the first place. Now I see him for who he really is, which is a spineless loser. Pathetic to have all that money and still be so insecure.
    I think there was a chance for the project to be revived with fallout freaks, since the discord server saw a major increase in traffic around the time of mint, but of course the developers messed up and it tanked again... Sad to see a project with so much potential fail so miserably. Would be cool if we could pull a pudgy penguins, but no idea how we'd get Ken out

      Really enjoyed reading this comment, thanks for the kind words! If there's one thing we can learn, it's that none of these crypto influencers look after anything except their own bags. Becker was (is?) bad, true... but I personally feel Zeneca was far more damaging to the project and acted far more cowardly.
      If you're not aware, Barbar is leading a revival of Jungle Freaks now. He has a plan to basically burn the old freaks and create a mirror project on a new chain. Ask the regular Jungle Freaks discord for details, or message me on twitter (@TheHansen01) and I'll shoot you a link to his new Discord.
      Thanks for watching! :)

      Yooooo! Thanks so much for the support! Jungle Freaks was SO great in those early days, it's sad to see how far it's fallen... really hope the remaining Freaks can band together and bring new life to the project.

    I didn't skip the ads hehe
    Luckily I only lost 0.1 eth on this one (I fell for jmfc), but I lost more on another project that's actually keeping its promises so far and has a chance of succeeding as a company (but I've kinda lost hope on all NFTs)

      I’ve lost confidence in NFTs as well. Billions of dollars came and went, yet not a single real-world application came out of them.

    Well put together! I was a holder since day 1. And have dissappeared from the nft space a couple months after the collapse of JF and the nft space bear market and haven't heard from JF since. It's insane the amount of things I didn't know from this project after that day. It's bizarre and saddening to hear really.

    • @TheHansen01
      @TheHansen01  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks! Technically the project is still ongoing... Ken recently claimed that he transferred ownership of JF to an anonymous "whale", but he won't say who it is, and that individual hasn't revealed themselves. Meanwhile, a senior community member called Babar is trying to resurrect the project on a new chain, but his efforts seem to have failed. Really disappointing outcome.

      This video is the opposite of an ad lol. Btw, the project at 4:35 doesn’t exist anymore.

      @MrDenyven the whole video felt like the author had skin in the game and got burned hard. That sucks if true but I'd expect some clarification in the video one way or another about it.
