I just found out that you can put memory stick pro duo the smaller than sd cards and the bigger regular sd cards.. If you'll put the memory stick the gold part will face towards the lens but when inserting an sd card the gold part will face towards the screen.
@@DavidHancock Yes.. The one my brother gave me has a memory stick on it and the way it is inserted is the gold facing the lens. I watched a lot of sony a5000 videos and all of them use SDcard. Then I noticed they put it in reverse. So I tried to put my microSD on a adaptor, put like on the video and it worked.
My digital screen has blanked out, it still takes great pictures but I can't see what I am zooming on. Can I reboot or download a program to fix it. Thanks for the tutorial its a great camera
Hmm. The only way I know to reset the camera is through the menu. If the screen has failed, then it likely needs to be replaced. It should turn on if there's power and you hit the menu button.

Hinthere, i picked one of these up for £134! In near mint condition, this series is and has been really usefull! Im just started on my photography journey, and cant wait to go on my next weekend with this in my hands 👍. What lenses would you recommend for a mixture of goods and landscape photography? Cheers, nathan
That's a fantastic deal! To start, grab a 16-50mm kit zoom lens. That will get you going but they're only okay lenses. For the first six months or so, it's a fine way to learn the basis. If you wanted two lenses at some point, check out the 16mm f/2.8 and the 50mm f/1.8. Both are affordable, readily available used, and will do well with this camera for landscapes and product shots.

@@DavidHancock Thanks for the information, it's a great sized camera . I use it for my home inspections and I am still using it without that screen.
