Ever wondered how a BTS ARMY would react to your favourite Kpop-content? You probably haven't, but if you're down, join me on my journey on getting to know more Kpop groups and reacting to their songs for the very first time! 💜 This is my first ever reaction to WayV and their songs Love Talk and Turn Back Time ~

Don't people watch reaction videos to see youtuber's reactions? That involves them talking and giving their opinion last time I checked. I'll never understand why people then go on to complain about pausing and talking. That's literally the point of a reaction.. And I love your reactions, they are so well thought out and fun to watch. 22:34 fun fact, one of the rappers in WayV, YangYang, is actually from Germany and can speak German. He's the orange hair guy from Love Talk and the guy in the room with painted walls in Turn Back Time.

I found it interesting that the English Ten learned in Thailand is British English, whereas what Yangyang learned in Germany was the American version… Ten’s semi-British accent seems to have disappeared though, probably because the other English speakers in NCT don’t have that accent😎

And yes, Lucas and Ten are pushed to be the center in WayV, and they do really well at that. Lucas is such a visual in not just NCT, but in kpop as well, to my opinion at least. Also that head bop move is literally made for Lucas lmao it’s SOOOO satisfying to watch

Turn Back Time is really up there for me because of the electric guitar instrumentals. Something about it's duality being hard-hitting and having a soft melody for the bridge just hits different.

He is always positioned and pictured in the center during official photoshoot and most of the dance routine, and when it comes to hard choreo, it was Ten who dances in the center because he is the main dancer

@@Landyra yeah it went viral. It also came out pretty early in WayV's career (they only debuted in 2019) and was the first "hoe anthem" song from them (and the start of their reputation for sexier, more mature songs)

The member who you heard of having a scandal is Lucas. He's on hiatus rn. A few months ago, a bunch of people accused him of cheating them (in terms of money) and lot of other accusations popped up out of nowhere after that. Fans had proved the allegations false by proving that the so-called evidence the accusers provided was a bunch of edited pictures. They even hired a private investigator and debunked everything. However it's unsure if he really is guilty of anything or not, coz SM Entertainment, NCT's agency, haven't given any official statements yet. In fact, they never even looked into the matter. Whatever was done, it was all done by fans. So we're not sure of anything yet, but it's ok to talk about his work, visuals and skills. As long as you don't talk about his personality or whatever, it's fine. Hopefully you react more to them💚✨
I don't think we should be trusting, let alone believing Lumis (lucas stans) on solving an actual CRIME. Lucas has alot of accusations, some of them being really serious. A twitter thread with no basis or concrete evidence made by a fan isn't really trust worthy and we should wait for SM to say something. The only thing SM has done is put out an apology, same with lucas, nothing has been denied. And the "private investigator" never happened lol lucas fans groupchat got leaked and they made the private investigator thing up. It's all on twitter. But hey each to their own. But in my opinion i rather believe a liar than someone who can potentially be a bad person :)
As a general cpop/cdrama fan, the entertainment climate in china during those times... every one was on the firing line due to the 100yr anniversary of the party and qinglang. I truly believe Lucas is innocent, because so many other chinese celebrities were fighting off rumors. Do i think he's COMPLETELY innocent and perfect? No and thats why we shouldn't treat artists as icons of morality in the first place. Anyways, as someone who's also been into SM artists since 2nd gen, they don’t have a good track record of protecting their artists as they deserved. I really wish they could come back as 7 soon 🙏.

Ah y love WAYV, they are so gooooood man, their visual, their dances, their rap and the vocals on point.
this is a LONG one! 🔥 I completely lost track of time checking these two songs out, and when I finished filming I had over 58 minutes of raw footage 👀 sorry if there's some sudden cuts or some thoughts/explanations seem a little underdeveloped - I did my best to cut it down to a runtime that's acceptable for casual viewers aswell~

Fun fact: Yang Yang is German.
He has never really said where exactly he was born, but he speaks more german than mandarin, he had to learn mandarin before debuting and he has confirmed that. His family is Taiwanese.

He was born in Taiwan and moved to Germany when he was about 5 I'm pretty sure. and for some reason I think he still went back to Taiwan on holidays, he might've says this in his wayv introduction video from a few years back. But that's what I know to be correct.
Also his German is not as good as his Mandarin by far, but hes pretty good for a non native. Good enough to gain an army of German stans. Lmao
He actually says he doesn't speak mandarin very well although he says it's better than Ten's, he keeps studying German because he says he's forgetting and whenever he's asked about the languages he speaks he says German first. When he introduce himself,he always stop and laugh when he says "I'm from..."

YES! This is how I listen to songs as well. I also note key changes, chord structures the bridges ect. I have to say that the many changes in the structure of kpop songs that I heard while listening to BTS is what got me deep diving into EXO and then NCT a little later.

also for me i think wayV is the only unit that hv easy listening on their discography compare to 127 and Dream, mostly 127. i am not surprised if any non fans right away liking their songs from their first listen bcs even for me as nct fans as awhole did not take much time to vibing on their whole tracks.
Ignore the cancelling nonsense in kpop/cpop, it's just a roller coaster and no one knows what is true and what isn't. No one on earth can keep up with that nonsense, emotionally or mentally. It's terrible for fans' well being and health to be too wrapped up in that kind of thing. Not to mention the industry is infamous for taking people down indiscriminate of their innocence or guilt on the whim of a few powerful people who literally hire professional trolls to eliminate competition. Also we need to let idols be humans who are messy and have relationships and lives outside what we imagine they are like.
That said. Enjoy WayV, they are incredibly talented people. Their WayV youtube channel is filled with a lot of their self produced stuff that is a testament to their world class talent.

Are you german? Yangyang, the maknae of WayV is german too. Actually, most of them are from different places. Ten is from Thailand, Hendery is from Macau, Lucas is from Hong Kong, just Xiaojun, Kun and Winwin are really from China.

Turn back time era was like one of the best comebacks for me. Before the release of the music video, the image teasers of each members were released through a game, where we're supposed to guess the password in order for us to unlock the images. And the concept was really interesting, because people didn't know if one of them is the villain who captured the members and put them in different rooms or he's the one who'll save them. It's so interesting that many fans even tried playing the song (and the teasers) backwards to see if it makes sense. Their individual concepts were also so beautiful, but my personal favorite was Yangyang's (the bowl cut rapper, he's also the German speaker among them), it was so creepy but was soo soooo effective. I hope as you go further in getting to know Wayv, you'll listen to their b-sides. They have a lot of really really good side tracks specially in Awaken the World album (+ the lyrics are alsooo **chef's kiss**). I've enjoyed your reaction so much, I hope we'll see more WayV reaction from youuuu.

Also not sure I could consider Love Talk to be eerie? It’s r&b if you’re looking for a name for the genre… it’s supposed to be sexy😘 and you’re correct, this r&b vibe is VERY EXO (b-sides especially)-NCT 127 also slays the r&b jams with a lot of their b-sides🔥
I found it to have a very mysterious and eerie note! That’s probably the visuals influencing me, along with the frequent use of echo 👀 it’s interesting though that this would be categorized RnB, because that’s one of my least preferred genres I could think of off the top of my head, along with jazz and folk probably 🤔 it’s got a very mainstream-friendly, almost pop-y, touch to it though! I do have quite a couple of rnb songs I enjoy, but they’re rarely songs I’m into upon first listen already, because I often find their smooth sound harder to catch or keep my attention 👀

I‘M GLAD I‘M NOT THE ONLY ONE! I‘ve got that exact thing stuck in my head since editing, full on with „fill me up“ 😂 during first listend I completely zone lyrics out though, so I tend to not register them.. I concentrate fully on melody and delivery during a first listen 😅

WAYV its the sexy unit for sure, the concept its amazing and is for the chinese market so it tends to be more mature and cinematic video/music - than korean market. But they are my fav unit 💜 the songs and the b-sides its chef kiss

Thank you for this reaction! Fun fact, Yangyang (The maknae of WayV) is German too and you can find videos of him speaking German, he also speaks Spanish, English, Chinese, korean and I think also Thai. As for Love Talk, you really really really should check out their demo version of the song👀
Also, just a quick petition, Idk if it just happens to me, but I would really appreciate if you could change de letter color or add a different background to the text, because sometimes, specially with long notes, it's hard to read it :c (Maybe is also because I watch your videos on the phone that this happens to me)

aaah, I’m so sorry you’re having trouble with the text (and I used SO MUCH of it in this reaction!)! I keep running into that issue bcs I mostly watch on desktop and of course do all the editing on desktop, so I’m not really sure what works best for mobile viewers and their different devices… I’ve changed the colours a couple of times before when people said similar things over the last year, but hadn’t gotten the complaint in a while.. I actually changed it to this recently bcs I thought that colour was easier to read (on desktop) - if you don’t mind: I used a dark purple before that I still have the presets for. If you watch any reaction from the last couple months before my first NCT reaction it should 99% likely be used in the video for the text. Can you read that one better on your phone? 👀 I wouldn’t mind switching back if it works better for you, the yellow was just a very minor improvement for desktop imo~

You should check out the new nct u 2021 songs, because they are doing nct 2020 and nct 2021 and one of the songs from nct u 2021 "LETS PLAY BALL" just released.
Center low voice is lucas, and yeah for some reason people canceling on him, he was supposed to do a song with another member of wayv named hendery, the teaser was out but then it was kind of canceled, he is also in superm(the super group of sm).
The clear voice in the first song is ten, he is actually from Thailand and he is incredible singer and such a great dancer and he is also part of superm, oh and i think he was the one to do the high note in the second song.
The guy you just noticed in the second mv is xiaojun, i had troubles in the beginning with recognise him but then i saw his eyebrows really stick out to me haha is that even make sense anyway i know he got such a great voice and he is amazing vocalist.
The guy with the blue hair in the second mv is kun i had troubles with him as well when i tried to learn who is who and i was always mixed him with other member of wayv that his name is yangyang because I don't really know why something in his face looked similar, but after time i saw that kun have smaller face, i mean his nose and lips are really stick out to me, while yangyang nose and lips made me realize it was him, anyway kun is such a great vocalist as well i remember i saw him covering some songs and it was there that i really started to appreciate his voice.
In general when i came across wayv i knew lucas ten and winwin already, about winwin the reason i knew him it's because he was part of nct127 before wayv was
