I'm surprised to not see the University/PSU area listed. Feels completely separate from the Pearl to me.

Yeah good point! There's definitely some others I didn't touch on in this video. Thanks for watching!

Thanks! Is it doable to live in one of these neighborhoods without a car and work at one of the semiconductor fabs in say Hillsboro? Is the public transit system good enough to get to commute to work?

Is it doable? Yes I think so. Would it be ideal/convenient/quick? Definitely not. You could certainly use public transport to get from most parts of Portland out to Hillsboro but you're probably looking at needing to take a combination of a couple busses + train which will take around 2 hours give or take. Poke around on Google maps and see what the travel time is from different areas. Thanks for watching!

We say "I-5" (pronounced "eye-five") here, not "The Five". Dead giveaway for California transplants.

Nice, congrats on figuring that out! 👍 If you check out some other videos on my channel you'll probably find that I'm pretty transparent about how I relocated here from CA a while back. A lot of my clients relate to that and I don't claim to be born in Portland or anything like that. Thanks for watching!

@@portlandoregonliving I didn't mean the above comment to come across as snide or snarky. I just meant to convey that if you're interested in adopting the Oregon parlance that is what we'd say. So long as you drive safely, I'm cool with California transplants.

thanks for clarifying tho, I appreciate that... You wouldn't believe some of the comments I get from people on here! so sometimes my default is to assume someone's being snarky. apologies if I came back at you with a little bit of a 'tude... that said, I meant it when I said thanks for watching. and thanks for embracing the Cali transplants. cheers.

@@portlandoregonliving No sweat, amigo. I'm sure it's hard dealing with all the negativity out there on the internet, especially when it comes to PDX people can be oddly territorial.

@HarrisNewman0208 ohh! Shoot. Thanks for the heads up about that! those chapters get automatically generated when I upload the video. I will see about fixing that.

Walk anywhere in Portland at your own risk. You've been warned.
