    How sturdy would you say the stand is? I’m looking to make two. One for my seating chart and the other to have a neon sign hanging from it. Thanks!

    • @CarlyKeller
      @CarlyKeller  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would bond all ends for the neon sign and add sand bags outdoors if needed!

    Hi Carly! Thank you for this video and all the advice/tutorials you give out! Would you use this size stand for a smaller piece of acrylic like the 18x24 sheet? Or would you change the dimensions?

    • @CarlyKeller
      @CarlyKeller  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi!! Thanks for being here! I size the stand to the sign leaving 2-3" of space on each side (about 22-24" wide for the 18x24). Hope that helps!

  • @lakelynhuggins1026
    @lakelynhuggins1026 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What size stand would you recommned for 36x36 acrylic sign? I was thinking 40" for the top but not sure about the bottom and the sides.

    • @CarlyKeller
      @CarlyKeller  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 5-6' height works well for my 36" tall signs! You may need sand bags or weights if outdoors for larger signs like that

    Hi, is it guess work for getting the upright connectors straight or is there a trick? I’m guessing it would put the whole frame off balance with the extra strain of a wonky upright.

    • @CarlyKeller
      @CarlyKeller  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Its pretty much eyeballing at that point. I use my garage floor since its flat/even and not worried about getting glue anywhere

    Do you think using the plastic ones and painting it gold or copper would be fine

    • @CarlyKeller
      @CarlyKeller  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't tried the plastic piping but believes I've seen others do it! I'd spray some type of sealer with that to help keep the paint from scratching off

    How did you insert holes in your acrylic sheet or did it come that way?

    • @CarlyKeller
      @CarlyKeller  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can buy them from most plastics stores this way..just a few extra bucks for them to do it or diy with a drill. I usually have them do it in case it ruins the acrylic since some sheets cost me $20+

    Hi Carly! About how tall is it? and how much weight do you think it would potentially hold?

    • @CarlyKeller
      @CarlyKeller  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Molly! These are app. 5' tall and have held a seating chart (24x48) before. Just be careful if these are set outside as they may need weights to keep from falling over!

    • @CarlyKeller
      @CarlyKeller  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are so welcome! Maybe you could spray-paint it gold and add a sealer so it won't chip? I've looked for gold piping/fittings and have yet to find a good alternative 😭
