I just bumped into this video…My husband is Faroese & we’ve lived in Kaldbak for 7 years (15 minutes outside Torshavn)❤ it is the most beautiful, peaceful place in the world. The weather can be hard for foreigners, like me…but I love it here. Thank you for sharing! ❤🇫🇴❤
@@carolbarrett6492 @sabairshad7686 A place with such a small prison sounds like it must be pretty peaceful to me! OK, I'm assuming the one in the video is the only one, which might be a dubious assumption, and the archipelago is, I suppose, a 'prison' itself in as much as it's not like the escapee could just vanish into the underworld of Amsterdam or, I dunno, Naples, say - but if that makes it a prison, I suspect there are a lot of people who would queue up to be 'held' there! Finally, it's not exactly a sound reason to hunt them, but while true whales don't seem to be notably 'mean' animals, dolphins (including some killer whales/orcas, technically a type of dolphin) have, like chimpanzees - and us, of course - a pronounced cruel streak! Seriously! Don't let that 'smiling' face, or their gamboling, playful nature fool you, they - dolphins - are well known to batter porpoises to death, seemingly for sport, while killer whales (not part of the Grind, admittedly) are known to harry the calves of much larger whales, or even the adults, to the point of drowning for no obviously good reason, except over, perhaps, competition for resources...

The Faroe Islands is hardly remote. It is just not on many people's list of places to visit. What is remote would be south Atlantic islands like St Helena and Tristan da Cunha, some south Pacific islands, and islands around the Antarctica.
Lovely video. I came across it by accident and thought the scenery looked familiar so i watched. I visited the Faroes 12 years ago...my first solo trip across the atlantic from Saint Lucia....having no expectations; i didn't even know what language they spoke. Luckily i have a friend there who gave me a lovely tour, and i had amazing experiences. Coincidentally, the green peace boat was in Torshavn at the time protesting against The Grind, so i was warned that as a stranger, locals might assume i was with them. Otherwise, it was a fantastic trip that I speak about to anyone who would listen. Fun fact...turns out i was the first Saint Lucian to visit there. 😊 I would love to go back one day.
I just got my DNA results and some of my ancestors are from this area. I am so glad I found this video! I cannot believe how gorgeous this place is. I would love to visit someday and maybe I will walk in the same places, on the same paths, as some of my ancestors walked. Thank you so much for making this! Absolutely stunning! ❤
This is ALL about Christian LeBlanc. He talks about himself ceaselessly throughout the video. What little he actually says about the Faroe Islands is ... bizarre. The islands are not "remote". Excited for our next adventure
Sooo many goosebumps!! It looks stunning! I love the moody beauty.
I hope you get the chance to visit Hallstatt, Austria, soon. I've heard it looks like something out of the Disney movie Frozen. I would love to watch a vlog about it.
💚💚😍. This is a remarkable film, truly fascinating from start to finish.
Absolutely stunning place. Thankyou for filming here. This is one place I really want to go.
As for trying to catch a drone from a rocky boat I would try approaching a drone company to try and have a homing base made that will synchronise and lock into it that it can land with perfection. It should not be hard to do.
I’m a little surprised that you’ve travelled so much but don’t show up to things early? That was one of my first lessons travelling in different countries. Always be early!!! 😂
This is an incredible video. I can't stop watching.
I always check out your videos, when planning my next trip, but now you're in my home country 😍 You missed so many other beautiful places - not only Mykines. Just another excuse to go back to the Faroes! Maybe around ólavsøka, our national holiday, which is a great time to get an insight on our culture other than fishing, Grind and nature 😉
Amazing video and vloggers.
This is a quality vlog, subscribed and will watch your other videos.
Exactly 2 yrs ago on 12 sept I landed in faroe islands 🇫🇴 they are insane ❤❤❤ and damn beautiful

I thoroughly enjoyed this video, but it was definitely Craig who convinced me to subscribe xD
She said the slope is 2-3k meters down, but she meant hundreds, right? I wonder whether Red Bull has ever went there to organise diving competition. Great video 🔥
Wonderful video!!!...thank you for sharing...beautiful!!!❤❤❤
Watching you approach the edge of the cliff activated my sweat glands! 😳😱
I love your storytelling with blend of love reality ❤
