Memories of Bonanza reminds me of sitting with my mom and dad on Saturday morning. Both parents have passed away! I am completely comfortable watching Hoss, Adam, Joe and Mr. Cartwright! Their father is strong, as was mine. And some episodes I know how it ends! Saturday morning and I am enjoying my time with Bonanza. Love this cowboy!
When I was a kid the whole family would sit in front of that old TV and watch this program (and some others), and once a year they had commercials that would premier the brand new car models that were coming out. Always looked forward to those new car commercials! Thanks PizzaFlix for bringin' back the memories!!!
This guest star was marvelous. He was great here but even more riveting as the temporarily hobbled bronco buster who was nursed back to health by that endearing home care provider.
Kinda always does to me. The amount of cruelty doing that to someone (no difference for me if human or animal) is beyond understanding. Totally on your side.

As much as I love Bonanza, it is notorious for showing man made items that hadnt been invented at the time the show takes place (1860s to the 1870s depending what season). Like that Bank robbery, judging by how quietly they got the door off that vault and the amount of sparks, that could only have been done with Thermite which wasnt discovered until 1893. EDIT: Well that ending was abrupt. Pretty obvious there was supposed to be another bit of dialogue at the end but they just cut it out for some reason.
anybody notice the error at about the 39 min mark when Ben tries to throw that piece of paper in the fire place ?. a few seconds later it shows that he missed, cause its now lying on the floor.
LOL. Could be. It looks like a lantern with an opening at the top. Makes me wonder if lightbulbs were designed to look like a lantern, but closed at the top.
@@melvina628 that's a very good point well taken.and please don't get me wrong, i love bananza, i'm 59 years old now and grew up watching it. i self identity with Hoss. on one hand i aint that great lookin a guy. i'm kinda big an clumzy and goofy. i have a younger brother like little joe who was always slicker with the ladies, but i'm told i have a heart of gold. it isn;t that i like finding things wrong with such a timeless classic like bonanza, but i once saw a video pointing out the historical inaccuracies. at the beginning of the show where the whole Cartwright clan is on their horses coming forward smiling into the camera you can see tire tracks behind them. another thing is the guns, especially the handguns in the show. i remember one episode where they were talking about the civil war first breaking out. at that time nevada wasn't yet a state, and the latest greatest handguns of the time were cap and ball revolvers. in the show they all had the more modern cartridge revolvers which didnt come out till well after the civil war in the 1870's lol
In the scene when little Joe first connects Sam Kirby with the bank robbery; Adam teases him. Ben tells them to saddle up their horses and says something else. So, the teasing scene is already forgotten. Yet as Joe follows Adam, and right before the scene closes; Joe gives Adam an irritated look very clearly. So, was Michael still assuming his role as being an annoyed little Joe to a scene that was past? Or was Michael perhaps irritated with Pernell for some reason? Whichever the case, I get a laugh when I watch that part 😀
@@bethanycampione3558 Believe it or not, there was someone else, here (Barbara S), who disapproved of the match between the banker's daughter and Little Joe because she supposedly looked "10 years older". I was thinking what a ridiculous assumption that was... not to mention that it was utterly sexist. Even if she'd been a few years older, who should care? LOL! it shouldn't matter. In another episode (Season 1), Little Joe fell in love with and wanted to marry a woman who was almost old enough to be his mother. The rest of the family wasn't happy about it, but it wasn't because of her age. _It was because of her lifestyle._ And then I remember seeing another episode where Hoss gets a huge crush on an actress, who looks to be a bit older than he was. Again, no one had any issues with her age. The Cartwrights are a very level-headed _and enlightened_ family! 🙂
Seems weird that the Cartwright's wouldn't believe little Joe but they believe a man they've known a couple days... huh... lol oh well, doesn't make the episode bad just odd how they don't trust Joe lollll

Thanks as always for these great episodes!
The part with sam kirbys back with whip marks always freak me out on this one!

I think Adam looks better in the red shirt and jeans than he does in the black outfit he usually wears.
Adam really looks gorgeous in red but my favorite look remains black !! So sexy !!
Love Adam ❤

Great! Tks for posting
20:22, "ma'am, there's a great big ole horsefly here and..." Hahahahahahah!
I love adam
Such a gentleman
And he has the most beautiful smile even with closed lips
I just noticed that Ben Cooper's character busts a bronco in both of the episodes he's in.
Good ol’ western.
At 5:03 that was a good moment, Sam turns and looks at the Cartwright's and thinks those are good people maybe I should reconsider.
very nice and classic
First cowboy " Now what make you say that?"
Second cowboy: " I dont know, I just said it" Lol
"I don't know. If the scriptwriter didn't make me say it, then it had to be Samantha wiggling her nose, again.'"
That was the easiest bank robbery I've ever seen.
Don't get any ideas... Crime don't pay. Watch Movies instead.. and eat Pizza. May the Sauce be with you.

How many have you seen?

Hannibal Hayes couldn’t have done a bank bust easy like that, haha.

Interesting that Ben Cooper is a first rate horse breaker in both roles he plays on Bonanza
Yes, I believe that was indeed a light bulb! But i love bonanza anyway!
i think it was LED
that was a lantern enclosed within the cover.
It's an incandescent light bulb in a lantern-style enclosure designed to make it look like the real thing

Sheriff Roy (9:20) was also the sheriff in the Episode "The Ape"
someone explain to me that at the 14:51 mark that's not an electric light bulb hanging over their heads lol
i think it is a lightbulb, but its probably supposed to look like a lantern with a real flame.

The fact that he looked mildly disappointed makes it even better 😂
He looked thinking, what should I do? Should I throw it back in or leave it there? Later, the paper seems to be gone.
Wasn't there more to the ending?
