Dogs are lovely animals as all are. They deserve to be treated well and not to be eaten or abused.
Soft spot for Danes. They tend to be resilient if well cared for and seem to get re-homed for consistent reasons.
It's a shame with life expectancy shorter.

I’m a veteran and we have 3 dogs and they are my world… they help me through so much I feel so bad for my fellow veteran and their family that they had to lose their fur family member and that they are having such a difficult time right now…I really hope things get better soon.
They deserve only the best of everything for this selfless deed. Heartbreaking no doubt. May they be blesses with health love and happiness in any form they choose ❤️

I agree….. I have much respect for them for doing what’s right for the dog. It had to have been hard because like you said, he looks like he was loved very much.

My heart goes out to the previous owners also.They must be so heart broken. Dogs love is such a comfort when you are not well.They give that extra love.

My heart breaks for the former owners. This dog looks like he was well taken care of, and I'm sure he was quite loved. Giving up a pet like this would be devastating. Hopefully knowing he went to a wonderful home will help them be able to feel better about their decision.
I'm so glad Lee decided not to change his name for a few reasons.
What a gorgeous dog his demeanor shows he was loved and well cared for. You really love an your dog when you place their health and well being above your own feelings and attachment. So much so you can let go and help them find a better home if you become unable to do so.

Some they keep due to their ongoing issues, but a lot are rehomed. Lee is doing Gods work. I'm always in awe of his boundless energy and kindness.
Must have been so rough for the elderly couple to give up that beautiful dog. I can't even imagine the hardships they have gone thru to have to make such a difficult descision. Glad he ended up with Asher House.

Their old beds are triggers for me knowing how much they loved them and will never snuggle and sleep in them again. I can’t bear to keep them after they’re gone 😢

It breaks my heart that his parents are struggling and have to let him go. This baby is beautiful! His coat is so glossy and you can tell he is loved and well taken care of. Rip is a thoroughbred. He has to miss them. 💔
This might be a little hard on him because he is so loved and well taken care of by his previous family. He probably is going to miss them quite a bit. You’ll definitely be able to find him a good home, he’s absolutely gorgeous.

Rip will fall in love with Asher House, with Roger and Mildred. You can tell all these wonderful dogs are so good about accepting the new guy, whoever it may be. That's because of you, Lee and how wonderful and empathetic you are. They actually grow into greater awareness themselves, modeling their dad.Such a fabulous emotional evolution for all of them.
my brother bought home a massive rescue great dane and it became apparent after 28 seconds that this male dog had an insatiable appetite to have relations with anything with a heartbeat ,my brother said he was going to get the best trainers money could buy to get Stiffy the best help possible ,5 months and 3 trainers later Stiffy was still humping people and it wasnt until my brother rescued a male cat and introduced him to the dane that it stopped immediately ,the cat hissed in hes face whenever he attemted to hump ,Stiffy was petrified of that particular hiss noise and basically over a weekend just stopped doing i ,Stiffy lived a long life happy to be a dog for near 9 years ,thank god for that bad tempered cat

Rip is absolutely gorgeous and very well mannered. He also seems to been pampered a lot the way he came in for some big hugs. He is laid back. He will make a wonderful forever baby to someone whose looking for a great dane. Silken coat and shiny. Who ever owned him prior took extremely good care of him.

Rip looks so beautiful, friendly, in good conditions, shiny, in his correct weight, cared. Roger seems very happy, and there was Poppy and the rest of the pack saying "hello, welcome, you will be OK here".
And his old owner can see Rip being happy, cared, part of an active pack, loved on the videos, take care of you 😘, he will be fine with Lee

Such a good-looking dog and he seems chilled. I like him. I hope he finds a good home since you will not be keeping him. On another note, I love seeing my Tommy Boy out in the middle of the road (4:01), center stage taking the arrival all in. This dog will have no problems blending in.

I wasn't sure what a "Bog Boi" was, but it quickly became apparent what you meant 😂. A big boi indeed! He really is gorgeous...that coat is so shiny - he looks healthy and like he was taken good care of, and while it is sad about the issues the owners are facing, they did the right thing. I also know you will find the bestest home for him.
I know Lee can only keep so many dogs but it would be hard for me to part with him. The original owners must be heartbroken. He looks like a joy.

I'm a five foot four female and I've fostered quite a few BIG dogs.. in all honesty I'm more into big dogs so I'm not daunted.
But it would pay to be as big as Lee when you're lifting a great day and into the back of a truck!
I reached out by email since I could not get an update on Rip. I found out he has been adopted and is “living his best life” somewhere in Oregon. I am thrilled for him as he is an absolutely beautiful dog. In the future, please keep us updated on all of the dogs, especially those you highlight in one of your videos. Thank you!
