I just finished Azure and this is still my favorite game in the series. The deep commitment to fleshing out characters that it took to set aside a whole game just for diving into their psyches and emotions, while teasing future story turns and unraveling the trauma of what used to be a side character is astonishing, and totally exemplifies what i love about this series, and what I somewhat worry it will lose in the cold steel arc, but we'll see. Oh, and plus, dungeon crawling with characters you've played for like 100+ hours at this point all at level like 130 and fighting nuclear superbosses in a dream world is an absolutely insane blast. There's just no other JRPG series committed to that kind of long term storytelling and level curve.
im lijke you, im neutral about CS1, hate CS2, but for CS3 im actually quite positive about it (aside from the harem elements that came from Old Class VII), now lets hope CS4 also keeps this up, because i really wanna try reverie
Sister Ries is one pf underrated protagonist.. I hope she back as main role on future Trails game who set on a Holy land.. She have potential to be strong as her deceased sister who is on par with Bladelord Loewe..
I must say, trails series is one of very few fantasy serieses where church isnt actually bad, its so common that church is bad or corrupt, trails one isnt
