Just started cold steel 4 the other day and holy shit, this opening just makes this series even better and nostalgic. Damm glad I picked up all 4 games of the cold steel series. Next I gotta get through Hajimari no kiseki and Kuro no kiseki when that time comes.

@generic name I heard the cross bell fan patch was no longer available recently since NIS America went ahead and shut it down. Same thing with the Hajimari one, and made where those who already have the patches can still use them but they can’t distribute them. Either way I can wait for the official release, it’s not that big of a deal for me.

I really need to get back into Trails... I'm falling behind because I'm rotating through so many other series right now. The next one I need to play is Reverie but since I'm about to move in with my fiancée and I want her to see all the stories of the ones I've already played, looks like I'll be playing through all the ones before Reverie again with her before I can play that and then beyond. At least it's falling behind for a good cause. Ah games. :) Gotta love 'em.
It seems to cover some of the Erebonia region that wasn't get mentioned in the original cold steel like jurai sez and set in northern war so it's somewhere around Cold Steel 2
Completely adore the feeling this opening gives us! We`ve been endlessly bamboozled, taken for fools and emotionaly decimated over the years we spent in Erebonia. But alas, finally this invokes the best notion of: "Fuck you all, it`s our turn now!!!" kind of emotion, an absolutely superb opening to the grand finale.

It took me a couple watches to notice it, but I like the extra detail of how all the Ironbloods are in their Blood & Iron uniforms...except for Claire.
Probably the best written rpg series out there. So many characters across this series and so much care it taken to try and develop them each in so many ways. Its rare to see that kind of effort in the game. Also its the most "Anime" series i have ever seen. Mechas, transformations, every conceiveable waifu possibility, loli's, vampires, tragic backstories galore, beach and vacation episodes, and playing the OP during the most hype moment or fight! (thanks for that cold steel 4).
The writing, worldbuilding, music, plot points are all great but I can't help but imagine how much better it would be visually if Trails had the budget that Square Enix has with its games. It's not fair. :p That doesn't stop it from already being a great series. They need to get on the ball already and port the Trails in the Sky games to something I'll play them on and I need to get on the ball and keep up with the series before I get left way behind with the rate they're releasing games in the west right now. :)

That anime was actually what I wanted in concept, but not in execution. I wanted a Trails anime to not be about the main story, but about side stories that happen alongside the main plot of the games. I understand that would make it less accessible to people who just want to watch the anime, but when has the Kiseki series ever been accessible? We're like an exclusive club composed of people who are willing to dedicate hundreds of hours of their lives to playing through a bunch of JRPGs. Overall, I wish it focused more on Rean. That's our whole motivation for wanting a deeper glimpse into what the war with North Ambria was like.
Trails has always been anime as hell. Sky was late 90s/early 2000s, Crossbell was late 2000s/early 2010s, and Cold Steel is mid 2010s to present. They were just reflecting the trends of the anime of their time.
@@Rumiatingel Not including Sen 4 and Hajimari is like not including Sky SC when talking about the Sky games. From what I can tell Kuro was written like Zero (a solid standalone story but with plenty of things to explore in the sequel) while Cold Steel was written like Sky, where you have a whole storyline that only gets a conclusion in the last game (Sky 3 and Hajimari are epilogues created to expand the lore and backstories of the series)
