I really loved seeing the arc of development of Estelle's character. At the beginning of the game I thought she was interesting, but a bit bratty so a little difficult to empathize with. By the end of the game I felt every beat of her feelings, and was crushed at how tragic her story had become. I am still in the beginning chapters of SC so I'm looking forward to the continuing journey. Legend of Heroes has got to be my favorite ongoing series with its interwoven stories, world, and characters. Just outstanding.
I rarely EVER cry at anything in media but this whole ending sequence made me bawl my eyes out. Trails is a masterclass series, this game was a slow burn but the payoff its just too good.
Just coming here to say that NicoB introduced this series to me! What a surprisingly well hidden gem of a game, everything from the art to the music and story was lovely ❤
I've finished FC last year or two years ago and I came here to break my heart again. Not gonna lie, the ending made me cry like a baby. It's hard for me to cry over a game's ending but FC did it. I'm in the middle of my first gameplay on SC and still have heartbroken whenever Estelle reminiscing about Joshua, especially when she played gis harmonica, and it has been ±2 years since I played FC. This game is beautiful.
Well I don't know about crying in FC, but it did me good and was instead left me in a feeling of being delivered a cliffhanger or in my words " cliffhangered ". Though 3rd Chapter did me good with the ending and made me cry like a baby by the " reveal " and " goodbyes ". Made me think I finally met the end of the road of Sky trilogy and was a HECK OF A RIDE. Was really excited with playing Zero after for Renne's development and man did Falcom never fail to outweigh ? ( Not sure what word to use lmao ) my expectations and make me enjoy the trials series
I finished the game and felt like “this was great but I’m going to play another game before I play the next one since it felt so long” but then this cutscene played and I immediately started the next
same here, up to that point the game was a solid 10/10 in my book, but the last boss (all the 3 fights) were so tiresome and the HP scaling was so ridiculous in the 3rd one that I decided to watch the ending and jump to SC.
zin, olivier, estelle, joshua always clock everyone up have zin spam earth wall and olivier spam la teareal and the fight should be quite long but certainly not overwhelming. Also dont be afraid to use all ur items, items do not carry over into sc

Well, I just experienced this... I was anticipating a big reveal, as well as something heartbreaking, to be honest. But it still hurt!... I played the PSP version, by the way. I know that isn't considered the ideal version, but I was pleased with it. Looking forward to SC and the 3rd Chapter, then figuring out how to play through the Crossbell games, before returning to Cold Steel (I actually finished CS I first as an entry into the Trails series, to which I am now fully invested).

It was! I LOVE big twists in games or films etc. I did not see it coming at all but after replaying it, the foreshadowing is scary! You would never notice it the first time that Alba was a bad guy!

To a bratty girl playing the bracer (she IS playing for the first party, she begin to really understand her rôle when the orphelinat burned and neither her dad or Schera are here). In the end of Sky 2, she isn't playing héro anymore. She IS a héro. To be really fair, I get this feeling only for her and Lloyd. I really like Kevin and Rean, but their not heroes. I'm still on cold Steel 3 but i get the feeling that if Rean IS the main character of cold Steel, he isn't the hero (like Joshua). That being said, Juna could bé. She remind me of Estelle (with Lloyd training).
Rean is more to motivator... He motivate depression juna to stand up and become like his idol, lloyd during the end of crossbell arc in 3 or in 1 where he motivate machias and jusis to avoid fighting so that their group didn't score lower than other group during field trip to bareahard..put that way, is he a hero?? Need to wait for tocs4😂😂

Rean doesn't believe in himself (and is kind of classic generic character but that's my appréciation, I prefer Lloyd and Estelle). He doesn't really grow in the 3 stories. In fact, he may have regressed after learning his origins. And keep in mind that Rean is a teacher now. He has a support rôle. Cold Steel isn't about one character being really heroic. It's about a group of person.

But I know most of players would prefer zero&sky rather than cold steel, idk since i didn't play zero&sky cuz sky is 2d sprite and zero might be 2d also... agree rean didn't grow in those 3 games, well the game is huge it'll take more times if kondo wants to rean develop as deep as he can .. Imo machias is the most developed in 1&2 from noble hater to neutral while others are quite bland(just told a bit of background) , to give space to world building, plot and how class vii becomes united.. Same like 3,while rean still mc the game already shifted to his students in branch campus so the game focuses more on his students rather than him and old class vii.. Anyway cold steel is still my favorite along with atelier and persona

I don't know why people say the original is better... The new art and voice acting really made a huge difference in this scene... people always hate the change even if it's for the better smh
Well in my opinion, the voice acting really does make it have much more of the feels (there IS a mod though where you can implement the voice acting in the original game), I only prefer the old art more though since for me, their expressions are way more.... Expressive, the detail of the emotions are there. That's just my opinion on why i like the original art better though.
I startet playing the Trails series. I am in the final cahpter of Trails in teh Sky FC. 80% of the game was boring in my opinion. So I watched the story bits from the final chapter as videos. And only this final cutscene is great. The Ending really carries the game. I would not recommend playing Trails in teh Sky FC because it's boring and no fun at all. But you should definitley watch all story cutscenes. Story is great, Gameplay is trash. Looking forward to SC hoping it get's better.
