I went through all the same thoughts as you. I love my 3 inch king Cobra. What you didn't mention is i've been practicing spinning it, and it's a spinner, it's a straight shooter, and it's easy to carry and it wallops, with that three fifty seven
Got a new blued Colt Python and the sights were loose out of the factory and there was a couple of mars in the bluing on the cylinder. Outside of that, super pretty gun. I like just taking it out of its box and looking at it and dry firing it.
I carry my King Cobra quite often, I really like it. I did replace the brass bead front sight with a fiber optic sight from a Colt Cobra, Colt sells the sights through Brownells. Very happy with the gun, still want a 3” Python though.
You right. I been wanting a python but really the king cobra is the more practical carry option 3 inch , trench rear site it the way to go. I don't like adjustable sites on a revolver. And it's what 400 bucks cheaper.. a grand it plenty for a carry revolver. Yep you convinced me.
I dont think i can trust my king cobra for carry anymore. Has to go back to colt. Locked up today during reload practice. 300ish rounds through it total.
In this sort of size and weight range, there's the Kimber K6S, the Ruger SP101 (5-shot only), S&W Model 66 Combat magnum, Rossi RP63, and Rock Island Armory AL3.1 (2-in barrel only). Slightly wider cylinders can yield 7-shot in Ruger GP100 or S&W 686+ but you're looking at a few ounces more weight.
the king cobra is fantastic, you can find them with the first number a 7 if you look hard enough
You got lucky

Dude please turn the volume up I can't hardly hear ya. Btw I really enjoy your videos. 🇺🇲💪🇺🇲💪🇺🇲
Colt fixed the sight issue 100% I bought two pythons and an anaconda all solid as a rock
I dig the grip/ good work
Thanks
They need to bring back the Diamondback line.
That and the Trooper Mark V line
Thanks for watching
I liked the fixed sights, I wish they made a 4" version
They do make a target model that’s 4.25”

Good one ❤
I carry either a 2011 or my 6 inch Python. I’m really excited to see how the 3 inch Viper turns out for conceal carry.
Are you transitioning from Smith & Wesson to Colt now? Honestly thinking about it myself. Tired of sending Smith's back to the factory
I have both. The king cobra is for carry and the Python is a safe queen.
Little price difference.. lol like 500 bucks cheeper. 🤣
Can you shoot a lot of 357 with this or is the recoil too much?
Depending upon the 357 load, it’s stout, but not unbearable
Not cheap but what about a comperable s w ? Plus the smith gives you the hillary hole. No thank you.
Cobra seems like a smarter buy. I mean, they are a lot cheaper.
They are cheaper for a reason.
Wish they would make it in blue.
@@learningone7786 that would be pretty cool. I’d like to see a stainless version with some kind of coating on it. That way it’s extra protection.
It took me about 20 seconds to look at the both together. Then I went for the king cobra. 🐍👑 #snakecharmer #cobra #adventure
Are the grips you have on your model wider than the factory houge grip? Are the from Altamont?
Thanks
@@jimipickle8355 they’re made by VZ I have since taken them off. They are wider than the factory grips.
@@SlimCowboy thank you

Interesting to hear, I wonder how long ago did you get it? I hear different stories about pre-cz guns having issues.
@xTr4c3d bummer. Let us know how it goes.
Don't you have a laser blaster in your collection? I bet that would be better then the King Cobra.
🇺🇸
I have the same opinion I carry the king cobra..It absolutely has nothing to do with the price.
I carry my 3" Python, they conceal fine.

Python is too heavy for carry.
I tend to disagree if you have a decent holster and belt, there’s no issue carrying a python
