Why does that finish look grayish and more polished than the PPKs? I called Walther and they said it's the exact same finish, black, on all PP version. I have the 22 and your seems much different.

You need to understand what elf is truly about . Your taking the movie to literally . This is meant to be a kids movie . First and foremost buddy was raised by elf’s he had no real childhood . It makes sense for him to grow up with a wild over the top personality considering he never understood what it was like to be normal . The point of elf is to show buddy’s journey fitting into the world and finding his dad . You can see this by his evolution throughout the story as he begins to understand how to live in a human world instead of that of the elf world

You have yet to see Neil Breen. He's the best director, artist, and actor ever.

I'm so happy with my Model 29-2 now! It's heavy, but a Diamond D Denali holster makes me forget I'm carrying it. I saw one of those 629 PDs in a gunshop but passed it by.

Elf is a masterclass in cinema. From the soundtrack to the visuals to the camerawork and lighting. As well as the Tarantino level dialogue along with incredible CGI. All of these things fit together like a Popeyes Chicken Sandwich to create one of, if not the best movie ever made for the holiday season. There you go 😊

Thanks for the information about the front sling mount. I have an Ontario M9 for my AR15's and it seems to fit my 590A1 Retrograde pretty well. What I really want for that trench gun vibe is a M1917 style bayonet that fits the M7 bayonet mounts.

I have a PPK/S that I brought back from W. Germany in 1978. As far as I know, it is the only one with the Bavarian State Police property stamp, an oval with BYP in it, next to the serial number. Still have the box it came in.

I got one because it met my needs. I am in a concealed only carry state, so concealability was an important issue. While my preference is carrying a .357 magnum OWB, that is not a realistic option here since the temperature is hot for well over half the year and IWB does not work well for me. I like DA/SA with an external hammer, so if I have time and need a precise first shot I can manually cock the hammer. Safety was also a big factor. I like not having to carry cocked and locked. While DA decocked is fine (as in a revolver), I am quite used to a S&W 459 which has the same decocker/safety configuration so I am comfortable carrying on "safe." In addition to disconnecting the trigger bar from the sear, the safe position also imposes a hammer block and a firing pin block (two more nice safety factors). Lastly, it does not have a magazine disconnect so that if you leave one in the chamber when reloading you can still fire that one shot before the magazine is inserted. My boxes are checked by this gun.
