The new M3 and M4 ride height SUCKS! Eibach Front Spring Kit + Spacers Install + Comparison

  • From the factory the new G8x M3/M4 looks kinda goofy, and a large part of that is the ride height out of the box is just too high at the front. This ruins the entire look of the car for us.
    The rear on the other hand looks nice for a standard car, and not everyone wants a low riding modified look. That is where Eibach's front spring kit comes in to fix this ugly front arch gap - designed to work in conjunction with the standard rear spring and even out the ride height.
    A set of 12mm wheel spacers finish the package off to help the wheels fill the aggressive arches.
    All of this comes together to make a perfect OEM+ package for those that want their car to look better without screaming modified.

    Great vid guys per usual. This was the first mod I did to my G82 M4C. For some reason BMW loves a 4X4 gap on xdrive models and it just looked so odd when I picked up my car here in the States. I had to remedy it asap.

    That arch gap is mad, and why BMW felt the need to stagger the wheel size I’ll never understand

    BMW Spend millions getting as close as possible to perfection I know the gap in the front arch is a little annoying but I feel safer sticking to the factory set up

    • @EvolveAutomotive

      They spend millions to conform to many countries regulations not to make the perfect car.

    • @ertugrulbae46
      @ertugrulbae46 ปีที่แล้ว

      For car handling, the ride height and suspension set up needs to match. E.g. you can't go for a super strict set up when there's less space for the suspension to move during compression and expansion. If the ride height is too low..it can cause juddering.
      But I believe BMW did this, only so they can "lower it further" on the CS/CSL models. Basically reserving a lower height for them.

      They dont spend billions on R&D on real life driving and longevity.... The consumer does that for free... Stock setups are for only like 200k miles. Eibach ALSO does R&D on real life driving with stock oem. Haha

    Isn’t it going to ruin the balance of the car by fitting different springs on the front only? Was looking at the same for my BMW F30, but didn’t do it due to the balance thing

    • @lami150sx
      @lami150sx ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Think the general consensus is the back of the new M3 is already low enough unlike the M4 where the front and back springs need to be fitted, mines are going on next Monday

    • @gpaje
      @gpaje ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lami150sx He question was probably more to the balance of the spring rates and how it handles. This appears to be a cosmetic mod, which could affect the handling of the car.

    • @Mac_F87
      @Mac_F87 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’m pretty sure Eibach will have matched the spring rates so as not to create a handling imbalance.

      Contact whoever supplied them (hopefully us!) via email and ask them to check your part number.
      That could well be an internal code that is unrelated to the product code/car fitment.

    • @EvolveAutomotive
      @EvolveAutomotive  ปีที่แล้ว

      This is a quite mild lowering amount, and you wouldn’t have many issues. Our G82 M4 and G81 M3 are both much lower than this and even then with some consideration to the bumps there is no issue.
