I'm sorry that was for the last video I just watched. I'm into birds and photos of wildlife. This Hirsch is very interesting I would love to have on of these!!! Thank you for your videos!!!
I just came across your videos I wanted to make a wildlife pond and now I see I can. Does your pond have problems with algae?since the water doesn't move or mosquitoes?
You absolutely can 😊 I’ve only had a few issues with algae this year, I’m not sure why that’s changed but I’m keeping on top of it. I don’t have any mosquitoes as there are plenty of predators in the pond that will eat any larvae. I’ll talk more about those topics in another video at some point
Hi, that’s a great question. As my nest box is relatively new I can’t say for certain but I looked into this and as bamboo is a grass it is more water resistant than wood and has natural layers of protection, that some hardwoods don’t, though still not completely waterproof. However, on the Birdfy website under the support page > Birdfy Nest and one article (maintaining the bamboo) states that the box can be coated with an appropriate sealant to help with its longevity. I hope this is of some help! I’ll certainly cover this in an update on the box in the future 😊

Do we know how durable this would be with weather, I live in a very wet and exposed part of Devon. Thanks
