  • Hi everyone and welcome back to another video. In this video we unbox and install the Roadmaster front anti-sway bar. This is an easy DIY job that will drastically improve the stability of your motorhome while reducing side to side lean. After a detailed installation we take our motorhome out for a test drive and show you how much the handling and cornering have improved. This was one of the BEST safety upgrades we have done to our Newmar motorhome.

    Ford has know this for years. As a mechanic for 40 years I have seen these problems over and over. The motorhome manufacturers should have addressed this issue before the motorhome was sold. The issue is so bad I have know some people that just gave up there motorhome because of the drive. Thanks for the video 🚙🚙👍👍

    I just recommended to a fellow Newmar owner to call Safe-T-Plus to help with sway and crosswinds this morning. He had an older pre- Comfort Drive® Newmar diesel. The Blue Ox TruCenter has the ability to adjust from the cockpit so, say you're in strong crosswinds, you can strengthen the resistance. Kinda like the Comfort Drive® on Newmars. Anything is better than the stock on most MHs.

    This was one of the many reasons I decided to go from a class A gas to a DP. Trucks were throwing me all over the road every time they flew past me. DP solved that problem. Big difference between the gas coach and DP. Much more relaxing drive.

    I am glad that helped out, I guess I don’t understand why these manufacturers don’t put these on at the factory. I am sure they would say cost,but if you are dealing in volume like they do it can’t be that much difference in cost. Good video. My last RV was a 28ft Gas with the F53 chassis. I did an alignment, CHF, Roadmaster Steering Stabilizer and new front tires. I admit it rode a TON better but just getting pushed by Semis was terrible. My wife drove 30mins of our 10 hour trip and said she's done.
    I wanted to get the rear Trac Bar, so I'm wondering how you would rate that part.
    I ended up getting a Pusher since then because I couldn't see spending thousands of dollars and still have the ride like it was. Shocks, sway bars would have just been a lot.
    Thanks for the awesome videos.

    • @EndlessRVing
      @EndlessRVing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Rear Trac Bar helps as well as the sumo springs. Even if we go all out with suspension upgrades we are still significantly less cost than a Newmar 37 ft DP. Granted we won’t get the same ride but we won’t have the same operating and maintenance cost either.

    I know there is a big difference in the size/thickness of the new sway bar but with that in mind how "much" difference did you notice between this upgrade and compared to the CHF? I know there is a difference but is it that much more significant, more of I feel safer with the new gear and really didn't trust the CHF or was it a WOW moment? Considering the cost difference are you satisfied with the new SB in the way you were when you did the CHF? Or, were you not that pleased with the CHF which is why you went to the upgraded SB? I know this is a lot of questions but inquiring minds want to know. Thanks man! Safe travels 😎

    I've installed the Hellwig rear anti stabilizer and it helped a lot but after reading countless reviews on the front stabilizer I find most people saying that the front doesn't make a significant difference. I would expect a better performance after spending $600 and having to remove the factory install and replacing it.
    I finally got my bilistein shocks today. I'm going to install quad shocks. My f53 only has 20k miles so I'm just going to add 4 more bilistein gas shocks and keep the ones on that it came with.

    Sounds to me you say model number 1139148 but when I click on your link it takes me to model number 1139140. I have same chassis as you do so which number is correct one?

      148 is the model you need. 24-26k chassis.
