There’s 2 EXTREMELY important points that I was waiting and really expecting you to add that actually would’ve slotted beautifully into your scripts (which FYI are always so eloquently written, it sets your channel apart from others that tend to mute/lessen some facts that is a shame as some are GREAT storytellers but if they had and APPLIED the vocabulary that you *never* fail to apply to your content which so often really does elevate your arguments, it’s super refreshing, especially given that we’re talking about a roughly 20+ year old series of novels and The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 wrapped up in 2011, it’s fascinating when you really think about it that there’s still ways that a select few Wizarding World content creators such as yourself, Morgan from MovieFlame, Dean from Harry Potter Folklore and SuperCarlinBro’s are still finding ways to develop videos that are so engaging that the 30ish minutes fly by.. ✨it was as if by magic✨
The two points that I think were truly pivotal to the shifts within Draco’s identity were firstly during the 1:1 (well 1:2 if you include Harry concealed below) but just like you said: On the Astronomy Tower while Dumbledore was trying to make contact with Draco’s moral compass, the moment when Dumbledore revealed that he’s known all year what Voldemort had tasked Draco to do, he knew that both the cursed necklace from Borgin & Burkes that almost ended Katie Bell’s life as well as the poisoned mead Slughorn had in his office were always intended for Dumbledore and he knew most of the facts that’d plagued Hogwarts that year REALLY shook Draco, he’d believed and quite frankly psychologically relied on his belief that it hadn’t been connected to him because he’d used Madam Rosmerta as the go-between/fall guy by having her under the Imperius Curse, it really rattled him even more than Dumbledore was STILL prepared to help him and even offered to dispatch the Order there and then to go and evacuate his mother and if at that moment the Death Eaters hadn’t come upstairs and broken that moment up that gave him the way out he’d wanted more than anything else I think Draco would’ve agreed but he knew that the Death Eaters being witnesses to what appeared to be the moment their cause was relying on about to happen, I still remember reading that chapter and getting really emotional that Draco couldn’t hide his shame when Dumbledore said he was unnerved that Draco had given Fenrir Greyback entry to the castle “that your friends youve shared a dormitory and classes with indeed does disappoint me” and without hesitation Draco’s voice cracked and he said he didnt, he wasnt supposed to be coming..
The second was how pivotal Historia was in his life that helped him transition forward after the war, she was also pureblood so his parents were delighted and they absolutely adored her especially giving them their grandson Scorpius but this part is absolutely vital: she was pureblood but yet she changed Draco’s mindset and opened his eyes to how “blood purity” wasnt important and that point alone completely changed Draco’s parents view of Historia and most especially that despite everything during the war they point blank refused to even entertain the idea that Blood Purity wasnt vital and that Scorpius wasnt being raised with the attitude nor belief in blood purity, that he’s to respect half-bloods and Muggle-Born’s and they’ve EQUALLY got the right to study magic just as he has no matter anyone’s blood status as it wasnt important in terms of how good/strong a wizard you are. Its NUTS to me that everything all 3 of the Malfoy’s went through during the war by their “leader” WHO WAS A HALF-BLOOD *not* a pureblood yet they were prepared to ruin all their lives or even lose their lives (just as Bellatrix did) so considering Harry also a half-blood was the only known wizard not survive the killing curse TWICE and block it multiple times using a simple disarming charm that you learn in 1st year at Hogwarts, THE reason that the good guys won the war and the malfoys no longer lived in fear yet blood purity was still the most important thing to them.. utterly baffling but yeah LOVED this video and thats just my 2 cents as a lil autistic bean that’s special interests are Wizarding World, Drag and illustration/textiles so yeah sorry this became an essay😅😬🤣

Oh, some people have finally read the books, wow! But how do we know about Scorpius? There's nothing about him in them.

I disagree. Draco was a hero in that he protected his parents as best as he could.
