  • There are only a few small indigenous groups in all of Nicaragua, with the Miskitos and Mayangna being the largest. They are all over the coastal regions of Nicaragua and sparsed out within the forest areas within Central Nicaragua
Today, I wanted to go deep into the rural towns of Nicaragua to meet the indigenous Miskito and Mayangna tribes. What was life like? What issues were the communities facing? What struggles were going on? These communities are some of the poorest in Nicaragua, which is one of the poorest in all of Central America. I wanted to see the poorest of the poor.
Wasa King is about a 1-hour drive from the city of Rosita, a city in Central Nicaragua known for it's gold and mineral deposits.
    Let's go on an adventure...

I come from a family of coffee producers in Matagalpa, Nicaragua. Some of the best coffees in the Western Hemisphere. Nicaragua is filled with lovely and humble people.❤

Moravian church came from Moravia, which is the eastern part of todays Czech Republic in Europe. It emerged as result of Thirty Years war in Europe in 1618-1648. The Moravian church, as a reformed church similar to the followers of Martn Luther, were forced to flee the land and spread as far as the Americas. You can find the Moravian church even in the Caribbean, for example Jamaica. Greetings to everyone from Czech republic 🇨🇿

Yes, it should be no problem! Rural Nicaragua is very safe. I always try to have a local guide with me wherever I go. You can just ask someone in any village to walk around with you

the moravians originated in europe at the time of martin luther. they are a protestant ..denomination . located in various parts of the world now. Moravians came to Nicaragua. They built hospitals. schools. and shared their faith. The English preceeded them. For many years until now , natural resourses were exploited by t he us , canada , japan ,and others. The Managua government ( family owned dictators supported by the US ) made deals, received compensation from the exploiters. The east coast folks made little from these arrangements ( sur prise, surprise ) but felt "fortunate " that there were jobs . The concept of exploitation was not an issue of which many were aware. I believe the explotation has begun again. The drug business has come to the coast , too. That was just beginning when I lived there. Red lobster has been one of the businesses that used lobsters which are gotten by young boys with no dive training ( one of the boys told me.)Unsafe boats ,weeks at sea . They were never taught how to clear their ears when diving . One diver told me that they just dove until their eardrums burst. Nicaragua has quite a history . Learn more from non-governmental agencies , ofcourse .

I do not see the point in showing the life of the poors. 🤔 They live their lives and you should respect that. ☝🏿🧐

There’s nothing wrong with learning about the world we live in. So the point is learning how other people live and survive. Or do you like being ignorant? Besides, he asked permission.
