- Actually this concerto is quite famous, especially among professional violinists....
I wonder why a score video of this does not exist LOL
The cadenza included is composed by Franz Beyer, and the cadenza will be partially played at the latter half of this piece.
Hope you enjoy~

Carl Stamitz uses the early Classical motifs really well here. The viola sounds very rich, lovely.
This is amazing, learned this piece around a year ago and only knew of one score video, which not only was only the first movement, but didn't have the first few minutes that are accompaniment only. Thanks!
My fav viola concerto 🥰
5:16-6:17 is so beautiful
I now keep repeat playing the video of this lovely concerto. I especially find the last movement uplifting. The whole concerto is good for my soul and they playing excellent. Many thanks for uploading. Great to see the Alto Clef. I must get my viola out! Been in its case for about 5 years.
@vinceturner3863 -- EXACTLY! Bravo from Acapulco!
Lovely playing with lovely in tune double stopping, hard IMHO on the viola low strings.
if you want to skip to the solo for the first movement just press [1], brings you very close to the start
I said that Mozart made eternal introductions... But Stamitz gave it three turns HAHAHA
( 2:16 I pulled out my phone right here to see if maybe I accidentally picked the accompaniment- then it started
8:02 this is so beautiful 🥹
''In quantity there is enough music,'' he said. ''Stamitz, Hoffmeister, thousands of names like that. In quality there is not enough. And that is also the reason I founded the chamber orchestra. Because I can't play third-class music all the time. Maybe second-class, but not third.'' - Yuri Bashmet
me as a violist looking at this for the first time 😬
XDDDD
I'm studying the 3rd movement but dear god it's tough
I have chosen this piece for my LTCL exam.
I have to learn this to enter the field of music education. Wish me luck
2:18-4:23
This is great!
Wwwww
I'm on cello and i'm auditioning for my schools sinfonia orchestra. 19-44 wish me luck! 😅
Excellent concerto, also very good part writing, on a par with Mozart.
Inspiration for M. Casadesus's Mozart forgery "Adelaide"?
Who knows 😏
Mozart's lesser-known B-flat violin concerto may be
Haha

Well yep
Reminds me of Mozart's "Eine kleine Nachtmusik"
Same style after alll xD
