Sonatine Baroque by Murray Adaskin (with Score)
Well, finally finished this video I made 6 months ago right before I changed my pc lol
So uncomfortable making this video... The new PowerDirector is so different from what I use since 2019...
Anyway, as I said before, afterwards I will make score videos on:
1. Chaconnes
2. Spohr, Viotti VCs
3. Pijper Violin Sonata No.1
4. Some random stuffs, probably Vladigerov first.
Also, with the current "verification thing" going on, sorry for the link being not clickable.

0:00 1. Adagio
3:14 2. Andante
6:31 3. Allegro

Nel cor più non mi sento MS 117 By Niccolò Paganini (with Score)
มุมมอง 6473 หลายเดือนก่อน
Here is some real rare gems! Thanks for dbmiller to scan this score, and I have took like pain-as* time to clean all the fingerings and piano edits... Anyways, this is not the usual Nel cor you get, from the MS 44. The MS 44 is an ear transcription, while this one for violin solo and violin-cello accompaniment is legit notated by Paganini himself in manuscript, which is named In cuor più non mi...

Sounds like Mendelssohn and a very young Saint-Saens got together one weekend and churned this out. The influences are very clear.

If you can scores with bassoon in solo upload... Please....🙏
You mean...?
"Every violinist must learn from Ernst, especially his Othello fantasy and his concertino, which should be an essential step for a good development in both musicality and technicalities. However, one must be well prepared with the concertos of Vivaldi, Bach, Kreutzer and Spohr. His solo pieces such as the Elf King grand caprice, must not be performed publicly, as it is against it's masters will." As much as could remember this is something i have read from a very old musical letter online many years ago, does anyone know the source ?
Honestly its quite well composed, the theme and developments clearly shows something insightful, unlike some others, which are just chaotic neoclassical mess. Looking forward for another upload of yours , but don't overwork!
Sure! Wwwww
Baroque ??🤔 😂
Well it does sometimes remind me reminiscence of Bach (last mvt for example)
Oh my god is it scordatura also??
The more I listen to Telemann, the more seriously impressed I am. He definitely belongs to the second tier of Baroque composers - there are several of them so I'm not being too harsh, with Bach and Handel in the first tier!
Telemann's contrapuntal style on concertos etc is something so unique in this era xD
YEAH a new upload from sissel!!!!
UwU now finally practice enough for using new PowerDirector lol
The first version of "Prometheus," composed as an overture as part of the incidental music to Herder's drama "Der entfesselte Prometheus" (Prometheus Unbound), dates from 1850; in 1855, Liszt revised the piece to make this stand-alone Symphonic Poem #5. Since Liszt's life spanned 3/4 of the 19th century (1811-1886), "Prometheus" is most certainly not "late period Liszt"! The only one that could be described as such is the 13th and last, "Von der Wiege bis zum Grabe," which was composed in 1882.

I started practicing this piece last week, and I love it. I am so glad I was able to find a recording. That you for posting.
Thank you so much, solo soprano and pianist. these are real arts-songs and the composer seems to have liked Shakespeare. He also wrote overtures based on the playwright & at least one opera "Il Mercante di Venezia". I wonder how it compares with Reynaldo Hahn's version. as we know Voltaire is meant to have been amazed at the Bard's mixture of tragedy and comedy. Well c'est la vie! We must have the comic relief. So in "the Merchant" there are characters like Graziano, the two Gobbos etc.. I presume the composer quotes/imitates a melody from the synagogue for Shylock, Jessica and Tubal but we must have the contrast. Were any of the songs used on the stage? The only bit of instrumental incidental music seems to be the march at the end. Sometimes the songs require more than one voice. I think "Tell me where is fancy bred" and "When Icicles Hang by the Wall" are choruses. I've sometimes sung in Shakespeare roles.
This is one of the 6 concertpieces in the manuscript in your video. Dragonetti referred to them as Concert pieces to distinguish them from his concerti
_2001: A Space Odyssey_ brought me here.
The two pages starting at 14:55 are really beautiful pieces of music for the violin
I am sure to be the one who listened to this video the most :)
Hhhhhhh
@@SisselOnline dozens of times
Who are the performers?
Stefano Bagliano, Collegium Pro Musica
He's regarded as a minor author but it doesn't seem worse than other representatives of the gallant style, like Galuppi and Sammartini.
Number 8 is my very favourite, not least the second movement, but there are many great pieces. The miniature sonata is a very underrated genre, condensing its material in such a small time frame, not giving room for extended passages of transitional material. Thank you for the upload, being able to read the music while listening helped me understand the instrument a lot better enabling me to compose my very first guitar sonata, inspired by the style of Paganini.
I think this is So Great ! I keep coming back to this after the Solo Bartok Violin Sonata and the Hindemith Solo Violin Sonatas. To me this is up there with the Ysaye Sonatas. Maybe not as Virtuoso but in musicality certainly. 🎉❤😊
5:16-6:17 is so beautiful
A very strong, inspiring symphony, and well-played, too.
Hey, where did you find the pdf for this? The manuscript on imslp is very hard to follow. Could you provide a link? Also has the violin solo been isolated? Thanks in advance!
It's in the publisher's site, and I don't think there's a solo violin typeset that's online rn
thanks for the fast reply. I was able to find it and ordered both the orchestral score and piano reduction. I’m hoping one of the two comes with the isolated solo part.
Sorprendente para ser una obra tan temprana.
Brilliant performance. Bravo!
Very nice
Thanx so much for these. Really appreciate it. Currently listening to all of his string quartets and symphonies in parallel couple year periods at a time to see his growth and maturity as a musician .
Could be a printing mistake. Also, quite an unexpected work from Kusyakov, especially when comparing his accordion pieces to his balalaika sonatas. You could almost say that his bayan compositions are an ode to Zolotaryov's style, in some sort of way. As for this composition, very impressionistic and very lush.
thank you!!
When was this piece written? Before the Mozart variations I suppose?
Owo what exactly is the latter one...?
@SisselOnline Mozart's variations seems to be ca. 1782 (first thought to be 1778, because of Mozart's stay in Paris and because it's a French song).
@christophedevos3760 it's unknown when this work is composed...
@SisselOnline yes, I believe so too, I don't find any information about it.
pretty cool
Quelles merveilles de musiques que ces œuvres de Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart ❤🎉❤
Wish that the audio were better
Need some other people to record it (((
My preference is for Takemitsu’s arrangements of various popular songs for guitar including four Beatles songs.
Vieuxtemps dedicated his 7th violin concerto to Jeno Hubay
This is the point of the century where orchestral works sounded different in the 1750s. I think this stuff is really cool
After his Violin Sonata #4 this one, #2, is next best. Robust with that Romantic sense of nobility. I really enjoy the performers on this tecording. This one and #4 really get played in concert halls along with the Franck and Brahms violin sonatas. The more i pisten to this the more i enjoy it and get more out of it.
I just love miniatures, esp. by major composers. Have been using these as church offertories etc.
Thank you very much. This video helped me a lot. 😊🌸
Wow! With bassoon! Thanks for your uploads!❤😊

Wonderful trio! I don't understand why such beautiful music is obviously not sold as printed score? Do you have it in readable notes? - Thank you for the video! 🥰🤩👏👏👏
I do want to know if there is printed score :(((
The theme in the epilogue reminds me of the Adagio finale of Mahler's Third, but the orchestration is indeed more "Italian", This is a young man's work (around age 25), and joins Dohnanyi's Symphony #1 and especially Langgaard's hour-long+ massive first symphony composed as a teen as a among my favorite additions to postromantic symphonies that seem to follow the overall inspiration of Bruckner and Mahler. All three of these works sound suspiciously "familiar" at very first hearing. Have Hollywood composers pirated from these works in their soundrtracks sometimes?
Bravo bravo bravo.
❤
Great ! Great ! Great ! ❤❤❤ Put together SO Well ! Beautiful melodies!
Beethoven wrote this fugue when he was around 12 years old (1783) and studying with Christian Gottlob Neefe. It is said that he composed this as a requirement to pass an exam for a job as a court musician, in February 1784.
