Splendid. Bortkiewicz deserves so much more attention. He was a true 'melodist'.
Bortkiewicz is by far, my favorite composer. His music is romantic, passionate, sometimes lamentoso and epic.
Oh please listen to Rachmaninov.
@@TempodiPiano If someone knows Bortkiewicz - which is a quite unknown composer - he will for sure know Rachmaninoff
@@ulrichalbrecht9723 Indeed
Rachmaninov has too many useless notes. I studied at Juilliard for 7 years. We need to give the ‘standard’ composers a rest
@@paulcapaccio9905 😅🙈
His compositions are very well written, melodic, and elegant!
I love Bortkiewicz
I think this is a masterpiece . I cannot realized why this composer is so
unknown
He came too late in a world too old (A. de Musset)
He is unknown like many other Ukrainian composers 😢 but I hope it will change
Pavel is an amazing talent!
Why does nobody know about this. Such an underrated composer. I love the first movement.
He came too late in a world too old (A. de Musset)
I agree. There are a lot of other Ukrainian composers who are unknown for the world. But I hope it will change!
Борткевич чудовий!
🌷🌷🌷 I love Mr. Bortkiewicz 🎹🎵🎶 (Holland) Thank you for posting.
Indeed.....Me, too....BRAVO from Acapulco!

The first piece is perfect for variations
Splendid👍
I've never known such great pieces of work before.
This is beautiful!!

He has some Medtnerish leaning in this one ,love this
The chords and those trills after 10:15 remind me of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker (Arab Dance). 😊
Great!
Bravo!!
The andante is definitely inspired by Liszt! Beautiful piece
the melody at 1:55 is utterly gorgeous, on same level like Liebestraum and Schubert g-flat Impromtu.
A beautiful combination of Liszt’s Leibersraume and Beethoven’s “Moonlight” sonata.
It's ironic that a piece called "Chaos" has a very organised fugue in it
❤️❤️❤️
What just happened at 13:46 😳😳
"Caprices of the Sea" (6:48) sounds quite like Anton Rubinstein in style ...
Reminds me of liszt.
I hear Un Sospiro in there.
Somebody needs to correct the wikipedia page, because this is a Ukrainian composer from Kharkiv who wrote about Crimea! Slava Ukraini
Так, Борткевич - український композитор! 🇺🇦

My god so repetitive.
