How to repair / replace Command scrolling knop MB W212 E350 (C/E/CLS/GL/...)

I am trying to get the command trim piece off. I can see it took you a bit to figure it out but the video moves to fast to see where you place the screwdriver to lift it off. Can you help

Thanks for sharing a great video. Do you know what is mechanism on the buttons next to the knob? My back button does not want to spring back once depressed. I am trying to get an idea if it is spring loaded etc on the top cover side?

Thanks for the question but I am realy unhappy. Because I don't have any idea. There may be an electronic malfunction. If it works when first pressed, the button should be solid. It is necessary to remove the back button and look inside. I hope it's not a big malfunction

So einfach wie im Video ist das nicht,die Seiten Abdeckung muss Mann mit viel Kraft abmachen,die Abdeckung unter dem Mittel Konsole ist sehr sehr scchwer ab zu kriegen und wieder zu montieren alles gut und schön,die Größte Herausforderung ist der Ring um den Drehknopf,mit Schraubenzieher get gar nicht, es muss ein Hebel Werkzeug extra dafür gekauft werden,Mann setzt ihn drüber und drei Kanten hacken unter ihm dann von oben die Schraube nach unten schrauben,ich habe aufgegeben,Mann muss viel Glück haben wenn Mann Nichts beschäftigt.

That was designed to fail. Lube the forks on the aluminum so it doesn't stick when you press it.
