I had a chance to drive a W213 and one of the things I liked the most was the ability to pull the headrest forward, very comfortable. I've driven my W212 since 2016, have 90k miles on it and I just found out you can pull the headrests forward on these models too. I'm almost in tears. From kicking myself in the ass. Thank you.
Older models had a feature called "tunnel mode" that was removed from newer cars since nobody ever knew the cars had it. It's a single button that closes all windows and the sunroof and puts the ac on recycle. The idea is you would put the car in this mode before driving through a tunnel so you wouldn't breath in all the emissions from the other cars The way you would activate it is by pressing and holding the recycle button for the ac. The car also remembers the last position you had all the windows in so when you want to open everything up again you just press and hold the recycle button again. I actually use this feature a lot on my 07 E Class but my parent's 2018 and 2022 GLEs didn't have it.

It makes use of the residual heat from engine to continuous heat the vehicle for approximately 30 min. I use it almost every day over here in the cold climate when we take car for shopping it’s nice to come back to the car and its not icy inside!
Some of that stuff is optional, so one had to order it to have that. Ok, if you bought it 2nd hand... then start off with good old “rtfm”, it’s time well spent.
The residual heat function is only available with THERMOTRONIC Saloon without the boot lid convenience closing feature can only open inside, can't close Vehicles without KEYLESS-GO need to point the tip of the key at the door handle on the driver's door, but only need to be close to the vehicle otherwise
hello, a question: most Mercedes models with built-in telephone, are equipped with UHI connector and a cradle for a specific model and brand (eg Siemens S75). Is there an inexpensive solution to replace the cradle with a reducer where the UHI connector can be connected directly to an iPhone 7? or is there a diagram to make this yourself, and if necessary to connect via a bluetooth module? My W212 has covered 135,000 miles and the rear subframe failed, Mercedes changed the part FOR FREE even though the car is now 10 years old, its a known defect, a dangerous one too !!!!! Thanks for the video i have a saloon but some of the items shown will no doubt work.

I didn't know regarding last one. But I activated an option to close a tailgate with only simple touch on door button and with long press on the key button.
@@MB212 As I remember, you can activate it in PTCM module, option Funkschluessel_schliessen for long press on key. Forgot how to activate one touch closure by door button...
At 0:12 seconds you have the rubber "no smoking" pad next to the 12V outlet.. i want to buy that but idk the part # or if its just a euro option since in usa mercedes still comes with cigarette lighter and ashtray sadly.. i want to replace the ashtray with that rubber pad but its impossible to find here.. any idea? It was not removed. Only now it’s in vehicles with keyless features. Which after the facelift of the c class every car had it again.
