What would we have done without power, fuel, medicine,food and gas ? Mr Premadasa I'm just shocked. Should the people be held responsible to encounter a disaster , no thats not right. So at a time we had no power , no gas, no basic food,no medicine , zero money in the treasury ,YOU WANTED AN ELECTION TO COME TO POWER ? GIVE ME A BREAK. This is disgusting.

This thing at 5:40 about renegotiating agreements with the IMF is concerned, one must realize that IMF is much more ruthless as a lender than India or China. The IMF doesn't have any strategic motive to lend Sri Lanka unlike India & China. It only has an economic motive.
Moreover, most of the countries who followed the IMF guidance properly, have come out of debt crisis..... INDIA is a prime example, even when it was really humiliating for us by pawning our gold to the IMF, which pushed us towards the market liberalization and privatization.
There's no such thing as a free lunch. If someone lacks the basic intelligence to manage their household finances, they should follow the advice of the person lending them money to feed their children rather than risking starvation.
