Yesterday RBI released the data of RECO ratio where Delhi spending was 10.3 compare to national average of 5.2, which in short mean they are spending more on salaries and subsudies, instead of Infrastructure and future. This election AAP is promising even more, which is followed by other parties. We as a nation need to stop this madness otherwise we will broke down our country.
But still there is more infrastructure development in Delhi in past 10 years than earlier… maybe more efficiency is a better term… I mean with that high RECO ratio… still Delhi has best schools and hospitals… and that too free… metro construction of more than 450km… 38 new flyovers, 10000 (10k) km of new roads, 6800 km of sewer lines construction, 4000 (4K) km of water lines, CCTV increase from 25000 (25K) to 300000 (3L) (most in the world), Street lights increase from 66000 (66k) to 400000 (4L)…. I think Delhi Govt. Is much better than govt. neither doing much infrastructure development nor giving any welfare to public

The union govt is the one that decided to bring rohingya in Delhi City & gave them all govt housing & other facilities. The true facts of BJP keeping Kejriwal and other AAP leaders in jail is this. The liquor policy of Delhi is alleged by BJP that much corruption has taken place. But instead of using corruption case, they used money-laundering case because it is easy to put someone in custody in AML cases and as per rule bail is very difficult to get. Then BJP conducted raids on AAP leaders to recover money, but they hardly found anything. The court then asked very hard questions to ED and CBI and they had to give bail because judges believed that AML is misused to put people unnecessarily behind bars. BJP was completely exposed. Amidst the politics, everyone is forgetting that Delhi's population is exploding, with high pressure on civic amenities. Instead of spending freebies that are enjoyed by migrant voters, we should use that money to develop a city in UP/Bihar, so that these migrants can stay closer home. That way development will be distributed and Delhi will have breathing space.
For sure delhi is a rich city but please note this cross subsidies have started forcing the rich people, industry and businesses to move out to noida and Gurgaon. Soon Delhi will be just a big slum. The growth of Delhi has taken a big hit and there is no new job creation.

I don't see any contradiction in Kerala. The BJP isn't yet as strong, and so the main contest is between the INC-led UDF & the CPIM-led LDF. When the top two are from the same national alliance, there is little sense in having a regional alliance, as automatically the 3rd best would gain vote share and maybe seats as well. Same goes with PB, where the fight is mainly between the AAP & INC. BJP also has 'friendly fights' in several NE states with NDA partners like NPP, NPF & JDU. Rather than holding leaders accountable, the majority of big media outlets seem to be focusing on worshipping of politicians in power. This is a change from the pre-2014 era, when journalists across the board felt empowered to speak truth to power without fear of retribution. Today, very few journalists can dare to question the top leaders or a pro-govt businessman. The present erosion of the press is due to the increasing use of certain agency to silence questioning. The current environment is of self-censorship due to intimidation. The union govt's desire is a plan for new bill called News Broadcasting & Digital Standards Regulations, which aims to target not only new media influencers, but to target dissent & control remaining old school press. The plan of union govt is to intimidate Constitutional right to dissent peaceful. Under the proposed regulations, any individuals uploading content online, would be classified as Digital News Broadcasters, regardless of the topic or content. And any comment or any upload can be targeted for govt audits & union govt controlled Content Evaluation Committee. Failure to comply may result in many multiple financial penalties by the union govt controlled Broadcast Advisory Council. There is no recourse for journalists.

But instead of using corruption case, they used money-laundering case because it is easy to put someone in custody in AML cases and as per rule bail is very difficult to get. Then BJP conducted raids on AAP leaders to recover money, but they hardly found anything. The court then asked very hard questions to ED and CBI and they had to give bail because judges believed that AML is misused to put people unnecessarily behind bars. BJP was completely exposed. So dear Nitish Mehta, where is the bias by Mr. Gupta?

Amidst the politics, everyone is forgetting that Delhi's population is exploding, with high pressure on civic amenities.
Instead of spending freebies that are enjoyed by migrant voters, we should use that money to develop a city in UP/Bihar, so that these migrants can stay closer home. That way development will be distributed and Delhi will have breathing space.

I don't see any contradiction in Kerala. The BJP isn't yet as strong, and so the main contest is between the INC-led UDF & the CPIM-led LDF. When the top two are from the same national alliance, there is little sense in having a regional alliance, as automatically the 3rd best would gain vote share and maybe seats as well. Same goes with PB, where the fight is mainly between the AAP & INC.
BJP also has 'friendly fights' in several NE states with NDA partners like NPP, NPF & JDU. In fact the JDU has contested all over the country against the BJP and the latter has responded by gobbling up JDU MLAs post-election, even while being in alliance. Arunachal is a key example.

In a real democratic nation, it is important for press outlets to have freedom to be able to report without fear of agencies or forced takeover. Meanwhile after 7 long years, govt says that there is no evidence to support the 2017 allegations against the former owners of NDTV, after pro-govt businessman, had taken over the news outlet.
Rather than holding leaders accountable, the majority of big media outlets seem to be focusing on worshipping of politicians in power. This is a change from the pre-2014 era, when journalists across the board felt empowered to speak truth to power without fear of retribution. Today, very few journalists can dare to question the top leaders or a pro-govt businessman. The present erosion of the press is due to the increasing use of certain agency to silence questioning. The current environment is of self-censorship due to intimidation.
The union govt's desire is a plan for new bill called News Broadcasting & Digital Standards Regulations, which aims to target not only new media influencers, but to target dissent & control remaining old school press. The plan of union govt is to intimidate Constitutional right to dissent peaceful.
Under the proposed regulations, any individuals uploading content online, would be classified as Digital News Broadcasters, regardless of the topic or content. And any comment or any upload can be targeted for govt audits & union govt controlled Content Evaluation Committee. Failure to comply may result in many multiple financial penalties by the union govt controlled Broadcast Advisory Council. There is no recourse for journalists.
