    So awesome to have a global racing back in Qinghai! Cycled around qinghai lake in 2020. Absolutely beautiful scenery. Also recorded

    I did Qinghai Lake in 2017. It was 2 weeks back then and the “Unofficial 4th Grand Tour”. Super hard. Your videos bring back memories, good and (very) bad, ahah. Good Luck!

    Hey Cedrik, awesome Video and Racing! What was your Iron/ferritin level bevor you startet suplementing Iron? I also startet to sup. Iron because of a power plateau and low level. Did you feel the difference?

    The start line in the China tour is higher than the summit finish in the TdF 😂

    Watching the HR:Power metric is depressing at 3800m. Enjoy the time, GG.

    Really great videos, thanks for sharing all the insights! Can you please tell whats the goal to achieve with altitude? Is it as much time as possible as high as possible or specific altitude for specific training etc?

    • @cedrikbakkechristophersen
      @cedrikbakkechristophersen  ปีที่แล้ว

      Before the race we prioritised getting as much time as possible at high altitude to acclimatise faster

    • @alisonlumelaudur
      @alisonlumelaudur ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you have protocol when to “come out” from altitude before race? Is it straight to race or couple rest days before?

    Hi, Cedrik!
    Can you tell me why you need oxygen levels in your blood?
    Thank you in advance for the answer!

    • @cedrikbakkechristophersen
      @cedrikbakkechristophersen  ปีที่แล้ว

      We tested the oxygen levels to see how we responded to the high altitude and to see how good we acclimatised from day to day

      Thank you! At high altitude it’s less oxygen which makes it harder to breathe

    What are your thoughts on Jesse's analysis of your race video? Worth a follow up reaction video or do you basically agree with the commentary overall?

    • @cedrikbakkechristophersen
      @cedrikbakkechristophersen  ปีที่แล้ว

      I pretty much agree with him. It wasn’t a very important race for me and I knew that I didn’t had a fan or ice vest, but I wanted to see how my body responded on doing a normal warm up in hot climate. I learned a lot by doing it and I will definitely prepare better before more important races.

    High level team
    -no build up tot the altitude meters?
    - not eating enough while youre body is working 10 times harder at altitude.
    But still a nice video man just a few weird things in my eyes. Keep it up!

    • @cedrikbakkechristophersen
      @cedrikbakkechristophersen  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      What do you mean with no build up to the total meters? I said that it is hard to eat enough, I was not saying that weren’t eating enough;)

      @@cedrikbakkechristophersen you have said that some guys of the group did alt training for the first time. Than 3900 is a bit to high to start.

    • @cedrikbakkechristophersen
      @cedrikbakkechristophersen  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, it’s their first time, but this was our third ride at high altitude. First we did 3000masl, then 3500masl, then 3900masl. As long as you go easy enough, it’s safe. Seems like it worked out pretty well cause now we’re leading the team competition;)
