I have 8 DE razors and the 6S is my favorite. I like everything about it. The weight, balance, head design, ease of angle, comfort & efficiency. I gave my dad one for his birthday and he loves it too.
Great shave! I am eager to try them both, I currently own the model T. You mentioned the durability of the coating and all... you know Rockwell has a lifetime warranty even for neglected use. That certainly got me as a sales argument!
I'm sure that the rumours regarding the 6S plate dragging was started by a company in order to sell their electro plating service. Which isn't cheap! But having said that, I'm going to get my 6S plated! Just to make it look pretty 😍. Great video Chris
Great shave Chris. I enjoy the 6S with the 5 or 6 plate. The blue 6S goes really well with the wolf whiskers brush! I guess the hardest thing in wet shaving is how NOT to get enabled 🙂

Rockwell R1 was my first de razor, didn't like it was too mild for me, and then I bought 6C and it is my favorite razor so far, gives me excellent shaves every time.
Great shave Chris. I own and love both of these razors but my 6s is just the standard colour. I find plate 6 good and smooth. I usually go plates 6-4-2 or 6 & 3. I love TOBS cream but it tends to irritate my skin, even the sensitive one. I do use the Eton College cream and Aftershave though as I love the smell and just put up with the irritation which isn't much. The 6c is smoother on the face being chromed. I shall use my St. Barts tomorrow with my new Taylors Contemporary SH3 super badger brush. I haven't decided on a razor yet 🤔🤔. Still loving your shaves Chris. Take care and stay safe mate! Dave.

Excellent comparison!! I have 6c in gun metal and 6s I can't tell the difference either both glide super easy. Good analogy with the finger sliding just well with slick cream

It's another great shave in the books for you, Chris! My Rocky 6C and Model T always gives me a fantastic shave. I like the Rockwell blades, but I agree with you that they are overpriced and won't purchase them again. I have never tried TOBS because European soaps and creams tend to be lightly scented. As soon as I saw the 6S, I immediately knew Marion must of been involved. Jeremy however was a complete surprise! The Sultan of Shavettes is silent but deadly! I have never once experienced any drag with the 6S.

After my TOBS dries out I will throw some distilled water in the tub and mix it to bring life back to it. If not bowl lathering or directly from the puck after it hardens works too.
Coincidentally I'm using my 6s and TOBS Jermyn Street today lol! I got 100 Rockwell blades for free when I bought the 6s off of Rockwell's website because it was my first order from them, and I do not like them at all. They just don't feel good on my face. I really enjoyed the avocado as well. The 6c and 6s are of my current favorites 🤙🏻 I did notice a difference in the shave they both shave great though, the 6c also works really well on the head where as I do not like the 6s on the head.
great shave and great gear sir . think either is a good choice. i like to try and support your local industry as much as i can. but i am not against anything from other outlets at all . just nice if you can buy in house . tobs is definitely something i need to look into few of my soaps are getting low 👍👍👍👍 that is one thing i have resisted buying a boat load of soaps 😂😂😂 wish i could say the same about the hardware
I certainly understand the desire to support local vendors. I think all of us like to do this when possible. Definitely grab some TOBS when time permits. I applaud your ability to keep from buying a ton of soaps:)
Good demo, just a question, I noticed that there's some blade over hung on both sides of the head, is it mild enough or sharp to touch when you're holding it while twisting the handle? Thanks..
Thanks so much sir. The Wolfman is a fine razor but a little expensive for my taste. I've owned them in the past. Timeless are pricey but within reason for a premium razor. H&S I've only tried once or twice. Nice shaver but I'm not thrilled with the name or some of the designs.
@@IAMCDB I've been seeing QC issues and customer service issues almost every week in forums so I'm a bit concerned. I love the 6C but it's weird to see issues pop up so often.
I agree it I wouldn't say it dries my face alot just a bit but the lather dries up and cakes up way too fast also the risidual sickness is severely lacking. For me the performance compared to the body shop aloe cream or the old spice shave cream etc.. Just is poor. The sandalwood scent tho is great!

The most obvious difference is that the rockwell uses different plates to accomplish the adjustment while the other razors use a twist mechanism. Most adjustable razors increase efficiency by increasing the blade gap. I would assume this is similar with the Rockwell as well.
Hi Chris, how would you compare the 6S with the modelT in terms of numbers settings shave efficiency? Are they the same level as you change numbers (for ex. Number 6 on the 6S is the same number 6 on the T)? Thanks a lot.
I don't know how the numbers line up but I do find the 6S/6S to be a better shaver than the model T. I have a video here somewhere on the channel comparing the Model T to the 6C. I preferred the 6C if memory serves.

I've always thought it would be gross to have an avocado smelling shave cream. Also, love the 6s never had a problem with drag.

They had some issues early on but I don’t think they have a lot of QC issues now. They seem to be pretty quick to resolve them if there are problems.

I use the leaf, sometimes carts, and sometimes DE razors.
I love tobs, there scents are great, but im like David. They dry up my face. Maybe its the water here in Chicago.

In my opinion the 6C glides better than the 6S
I don't really discern much difference, and if there is, it's negligible. If the lather and technique is on point, it shouldn't be a factor.
