12mR mania in scale

Been wanting one of these Norlin RC 12mR's since I was a kid... 40 years...
Picked up two in Stockholm today. The mystery one is not complete. The Norlin 12mR has the keel and mast included in the "kit". The mystery 12mR is now identified as a Odd Lindqvist design. Really cool, since not more than 10 of those were ever built. 130 Norlin 12mR in scale 1:10 was produced.

It is confirmed. It is Odd Lindqvist who designed the mystery 12mR. I'm currently working on a keel adapter, to be able to fit a Australia II style keel to this boat, since it's lacking the keel.

The Norlin 12 I hope to saill this summer. The mystery 12, has no keel and rig. I hope the lady I bought it from finds the keel at least. Thanks Lars

Hi and thx for sharing. The stern on the second hull looks more like an IOR boat of the 1970’s. I also prefer the longer sloping look of the 12m stern. Thx!

Lars,great to see another of your videos.I totally understand you "saving " these two hulls.You will do a great job of restoring both of them.The beams in the first hull may be for a radio deck.Well saved anyway and look forward to your next video.
