Try Band On the Run, Let Me Roll It, Too Many People and Uncle Albert / Admiral Halsey. For those who don't know: every - EVERY! - electric guitar sound you hear on this song was played by Paul. (As, of course, was the bass, the drums and the piano -- but that guitar solo!)

Just to show the enduring appreciation for the man and his music, he appeared on the Steven Colbert show with this introduction. " Ladies and gentlemen. You probably know my first guest tonight, because he's PAUL McCARTNEY! " A two minute spontaneous standing ovation follows. Paul never released the song as a single. It was only available on his eponymous " McCartney " album. However, it received huge airplay on radio stations around the world. Just because he could, he played piano, organ, rhythm and lead guitars, bass, drums and vocals. A gutsy love song.

This song is about his beautiful love for his soulmate, Linda. It was one of the most wonderful love stories of all time. They were together for three decades and they were head over heels for each other. Her death from cancer in the late nineties was probably crippling to him for at least a period of time. It’s very poignant to see love like that. Unfortunately, it’s rare, especially among celebrities. Nice reaction. 🌺✌️

Paul wrote this song to his first wife (Linda Eastman) in 1970. She was his rock especially after the beatles split up and Paul got depresed. She New that Paul need to create music to be happy so she encoaged him to continue in a solo carrier. He loved her and she was his companion till she died of cancer in1998.

This was on his first solo album in 1970. He produced this album all alone on his farm in england playing all instruments himself.
The song is - of cause - dedicated to his wife Linda who was the love of his life.

BTW, I was lucky to see him in concert a couple years ago, must have been around 77 yrs. old. He still sounded pretty damn good, and kept going for a couple hours! (I'm pretty critical of some former great singers who can't hit the notes when they get older, but he was great!)

I grew up listening to English-language music. I love very much: Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Genesis. I have not listed all of them. Pink Floyd is number 1 for me!!! Strange. For me, the best music was created in the 60-70 years. Paul McCartney has more cool songs. Everyone's taste is different - you can't argue. My favorite Paul Songs: Band on the run, Ram, Dear friend, Monkberry Moon Delight, Nineteen Hundred And Eighty Five, Love is song, Beware my love. I started to list and realized how many there are. I advise you to listen to some of these.
