You have a beautiful daughter, who is sweet and very photogenic. I have observed your interactions with your daughter and you are fantastic parents. I’m an 81 year-old male retired child clinical psychologist. Seeing parents who enjoy their children and whose children are thriving is a pleasure. It is great that you have time, and also enjoy the time that you have. I am aware there are health issues that you face and I wish you much luck in your dealing with them. The great thing is you have prioritized enjoying your life. Congratulations.
Congratulations! Never stop looking at one another like you did after making the bed, and setting up the kitchen table. Right before you hugged and kissed. Life is an “adventure” and maintaining one’s connection with our wife, and husband, requires accepting what we can’t control, and rolling with the punches, while maintaining a sense of humor. Most importantly, in trusting each other while always putting the child/children’s safety, learning, and happiness first. My wife, Paula, and I, and our little Sarah Ann, were just like you three when we first started out. In April, we will celebrate our 31 year anniversary and … plan to take a trip to Italy! Nurse here. How to put on a pillow case. Run your finger along one of the seams on the side, when you get to the end grab a hold in the middle of the seam on the closed side of the pillow case, use that same spot to grab a pillow. Make sure to grab the pillow in the middle with the same hand you are holding the pillow case. Now align the corner and pull the case over the pillow. Takes a few times to learn it. Hey Luca, Sara, and Luce. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us and allowing us to peer into your Sicilian life. Wish I had visited Sicily years ago. I am almost 75 now and disabled. My mother's parents were from Cefalu. They came to the US in the early 1900s, opened a small restaurant in Baltimore MD. We ate many Italian meals. My dads family were German. We also ate German meals. Take care! Love you guys!
How stressful, so sorry for that mess. Wet walls after a fresh renovation are really annoying, they could even catch mould. Glad that the „responsible“ neighbours are friendly and compliant, at least they try to.

Ok guys, I have now watched all of the videos in this playlist and I wanted to say how much I thoroughly enjoyed all of them. They are well filmed, edited and they are always entertaining and never boring. My husband said to me 'what are you watching that makes you smile so much? And I told him it was because of your sweet little girl who is just pure JOY. Watching her walk and talk and her gentleness with the cats is a balm on the heart. You are raising her so perfectly, always with patience and including her in all that you do. This child is so fortunate to have such truly loving parents. So, all of that said, I look forward to watching the next episode of your journey. Good health and happiness to your little family.
I can feel your frustration!!! You buy the things you love and want to make your house a home and another mess and another problem. So you smile and shake off the frustration and have the patience to go on.
The move may not be going as smoothly as you would like, but you are both doing amazingly and it will all come right in the end. Waking up for the first time in your new Scicillian home, and seeing that view as you woke must have been so precious.
So many of us have had small children whilst living in a old home and constantly dealing with bad wiring, power going out, noisy and faulty plumbing while clearing the toilet manually, and working at the same time. Time goes by in a whirlwind, and suddenly your children have grown and are also having children-and they have a house that needs “help!”. We have just celebrated our 45th Wedding Anniversary. Persist. You’re models of parental responsibility and caring for one another. A truly beautiful family!
You are such a beautiful family. You share such love and respect for each other .... so very inspiring to watch. I NEVER miss an episode. I am always in awe of what you do and your strength in getting through your struggles. May you always be abundantly blessed. Your little princess is magical, such a well balanced little soul. Luce is such a joy .... and with each new video, I notice how very confident she is for her young age. You both are fantastic parents. Wishing all 3 of my very favourite people many blessings ❤
Even though you face these difficulties, there is still such love and laughter in your home. Loved your visit to Palermo, and the goods you bought there. So sorry you have these setbacks, you take them all in your stride. Bravo Luca , Sara and Luce, Bravo!
I think only a couple of small leaks in a 1000 year old roof is pretty lucky. It could be much worse. The house in San Francisco I grew up in was built just after the 1906 earthquake. There was one spot in the roof rhat had been repaired several times but kept leaking. What we did was get a big metal wash basin. We put that in the attic on top of ceiling beams, under the leak. It was big enough that it never overflowed and in the hot attic, the water evaporated quickly so it never needed emptying. That kept water from dripping through the ceiling. Strangely enough, that was in the kitchen, too. Old houses all have their little problems. That's what gives them character. Good luck.
Thank you for sharing the challenges of renovating a old home. It takes a lot of patience, I commend you as many people would not have the endurance!!! Keep going it will all work out!!!!
Ugggh the water problems!😞 I hope you have great neighbors on both sides who are willing to fix the problems asap. Hang in there guys cause the good really outweighs the bumps along the way. Thank you for another fantastic vlog! Oh, and it's so nice how you always show the Italian restaurants you go to and what you eat! Food is such a big part of any culture!🥰❤
Sorry about the leak. Hopefully you can have it all fixed before it rains again. I saw some crazy trolls on here complaining about your title. I guess those sick, evil, jealous people are disappointed that you didn’t have worse problems. They don’t love you so they need to get lost, go back to their miserable lives of negativity. But we love you, beautiful family, God bless you
Arh sorry about the leaks in kitchen, but better you found out now than after you put kitchen furniture in, which by the way I love your choice of the cream unit, its perfect and so are the copper bathroom fixtures👏👏👏 It does take time but youre both doing so well, one day at a time guys☺ Luce is a little heart breaker stunning and funny🤩 Thankyou for taking us around 2nd hand shops, I love them😊 xxx
We LOVE your Family outing's and this episode is full of the feeling's we share with each other. * The MY HERITAGE opportunity both have presented is surely a gift from Heaven, so nice you have given us this advantage. My wife is disabled, having Alzheimer's has given me the distinct privilege to clean, cook and change the sheets on our 400 year old house overlooking the water. Pillow case size matters, I order through Amazon and have had success with their product. Your House is magnificent, small details as with your plumbing, heating, leaks, etc should never discourage. Remember, "LOVE WINS"! We thank you so much for sharing your beautiful Family. How is Luca feeling?
God Bless You!!! for your faithful loving dedication to your wife & your sacred vows that fewer & fewer people take seriously ...much less live out in their lives... LOVE ALWAYS WINS!!! God rewards those who persevere!!!
I saw a free DNA study a long time ago at the University we went to, Penn State. The study was more intense than a cheek swab, lots of tubes of spit, hair sample, etc. No surprises because I knew I would be at least 50% Scot, and then German from Dad. But the best part was traits, which told me I had near perfect DNA, no known cancer traits, no Alzheimers, and a lot more. It zeroed in on my skin(fair, freckled), eye color, bone size/height. MOST important: I had all 13 DNA markers for extreme motion sickness, morning sickness, etc. Fast forward to 10 years later, I had uterine cancer and a full hysterectomy. 3 months later, breast cancer. they found 2 tumors, needing 2 separate surgeries. I have zero family history and zero genetic signs for cancer, period. It was all from our environment ( I never smoked). One of the 4 top DNA research centers is 15 minutes away and my surgeons sent me for full DNA tests.... which revealed PRECISELY what my earlier tests did. It allowed me to avoid Chemo.
People have been putting glyphosates on their lawns here in America for years ....just to have "pretty" grass .... & it affects children and animals the most who are the most likely to run barefoot. Also the chemicals in the city water & in all the plastics we use. Then recently I read that even Cherios & Quaker oats (normally considered 'healthy' food) have endocrine disrupter-chemicals in them that affect children especially & their future FERTILITY!!! All the plastic garbage (think plastic bottles from the time of infancy) causes little boys to ingest too many estrogen-mimicking chemicals which prevent those little boys from developing mature masculine traits trapping them in an 'eternal undeveloped boyhood'!!! Mercury in the fish & lead in the paint of old houses!! ....the toxin list seems endless!!! @@suewilson1801
What a beautiful family I wish you all the best in Sicily I am 70 years old now. Oh close to it. I wish I had done what you did back in my 30s but I never had the guts. My father was a strict Italian and a Catholic, and refused us to leave the United States and I’m still here you have a beautiful little girl and I wish you the best and I love how your husband has that accent on the end of all of his words. It sounds nice to an American anyways greetings to you from Florida. Ciao.❤❤
I love the kitchen unit you chose and I hope you'll be able to get the leak stopped and fixed permanently so you can finalize something. Luce continues to amaze me, she is so well balanced and entertaining. You're doing a fantastic job!
even though I don't understand Italian (future goal!) I LOVE hearing Luce speaking Italian! LOVE IT. I know how frustrating it can be to have things not go how you want them to - but it makes you appreciate them more when they happen! Patience is a tough thing! Sending you all the patience and love - Thank you for making me smile every Sunday morning! Also LOVED Luce's camera work!!! LOL!
"La Mama bella tante" (so true, Luce!). I love to see what is for sale in the Italian vintage shops! Sorry to see the leak in the house when it rains. Very frustrating. Caterina is a very kind neighbour.
> EASIEST PILLOWCASE TRICK < - Turn the pillowcase inside out - Place hands inside the pillowcase in each of the corners - Grab the ends of the pillow with the two corners your hands are in - Roll the pillowcase down the pillow so now it is inside right
Sorry about the leaking problems - so disappointing for you as you are trying to move in. Wonderful that you found some great kitchen cupboards and vintage oven. You are a beautiful family. Luce is just adorable.❤️
With an old house there will always be something that comes up but you three are handling it so well. Your house will be perfect for you when it’s done. Enjoyed your video so much. Love the furniture you found.
Maybe if you're lucky. The neighbors water issues can be quickly patched. Then the kitchen ceiling and walls can dry and be repainted. Since it was quickly found, it doesn't require new lime plaster because it's breathable. Just needs repainting. Fingers crossed, it can be that simple.
You are putting those pillow cases on the hardest way possible. Gather up the pillow case like you would a stocking. Then put the case on the end of the pillow when it’s lying down and just pull up. Easy peasy! I hope that helps.
Hotel maid pillow technique: Lay pillow flat. Press arm (elbow to fingers) upon length of pillow along middle to crease pillow. Then fold pillow in-half along the crease. Then slide pillow into pillow case. Unfold pillow, side-to-side. Fluff it.
The furniture pieces that you purchased are so beautiful! I'm so sorry to hear what happened with the walls and ceiling. I really hope that they can be fixed soon, along with your new vacuum. Hopefully, with Spring on it's way there, the rain will be less of an issue? Sending you tons of love, as always. 🌸🌼💗
...they need to find the SOURCE of the leaks ...otherwise, they will continue to plague them the next time it rains. And leaks cause weakness in the structure, mold, and decay.
La Bimba is getting to be a sweet chatterbox. Good news that you can live in your house while the rest of the work gets finished. 🤗 And Luce slept through loading the cabinet. She is so precious. Congratulations on your purchases. Oh no! So discouraging. Good luck with the repairs. 😊
My husband said new house, old house. Every project brings surprises. You both have such great attitudes. God Bless. In America, they would sue neighbors you are patient
I understand your frustration with the pillowcase. I discovered if you put the pillowcase on the pillow like you’re putting socks on your feet it works wonderfully. Hope it works for you. Love watching your videos!
I don't know how you take it all. I owed a funeral house built in 1843. And the whole house was haunted with the people who passed through. It was owed buy a man and his wife, who was a nurse who built churches and banks back in the early 1800s. He even built the towns one room prison in that small town. His only son died in the backyard. That house was ALWAYS falling apart. Windows replaced walls, electrical and fireplace. Each room had its own special problem. The kitchen was a magical place for us and the past people walking through. I could hear people walking up and down the steps and walking above us in the living room. My 3 year old son said he saw a ghost walk out his window and out of my car. Sad to say it burned down during the North California fires. And the prison and the bank. The whole town is lost.
It's a big step, moving in finally ! I enjoyed the thrift stores especially. The cabinet will be great and your vintage cooker . I had an aga in one house. It heated the whole house as well as cooking. Those stores are good for lighting as well as furniture. Still you have the wiring to do before chandeliers and wall lights . So sorry about the leaks , still that's old houses. Kay
The white hutch you purchased for the kitchen looks like it was designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, a very famous Scottish designer. It’s very beautiful.
Oh the leaks. Its frustrating. Yes you two will find a solution. Thankfully your neighbors are willing to work with you. Luca, I pray you can have your surgery soon and all will be well. Blessings to all❤
My daughter and her partner also moved into their house today! They had been renting and saving for ten years. They eventually qualified for a loan to buy a secondhand house in the outskirts of Co. Dublin Ireland. There are some problems with the house but they will get these things fixed over the next year. There is a kitchen, thankfully but like you they will have to buy furniture. It's the start of a new chapter for them as it is for you. I wish the three of you a healthy and happy future. Your little daughter is such a treasure. I find myself smiling and happy when I see her and it's wonderful to see how she is already an animal lover. Sending big hugs and kisses from Noreen in Ireland!
Open your pillowcase and scrunch it down to the bottom, fold the end of your pillow in half and put into the bottom of the pillowcase and pull the pillowcase up while holding the folded pillow until the pillowcase is over halfway up. This will make more sense when you try it.
@ecoflow should sponsor you all. Their portable power system would be great for you all now and when you finish the basement room. Also you could take it to the olive grove to use in the little house there or for whatever power requirements you need.
Great episode. Sorry for the rain and leaks. On the bright side, you found the leaks BEFORE you installed everything. But still disappointing for sure. As always Luce make me smile. Love watching her grow up. What a happy girl!
For 1000 years the neighbors have been dealing with these small issues and the house is still in good shape, I hope the neighbor realizes it is beneficial for all to repair the leak, even though they are in Rome, perhaps they don't feel this issue is a priority, but strong fences build good neighbor's, the LeAw family is happy/content and not sweating over the small potatoes, So ciao Luca, Sara and Luce until next week.
You have a great selection of furniture available for you because many of the large pieces won’t fit in a modern apartment but they will be good in your old house with high ceilings.
Hello, What a beautiful 100 year old home! Incredible! You guys are doing a great job in keeping the character of the property. UUUgggghh, the water leaks and neighbors!!! I love the second hand vintage shops!! I know you guys are frustrated, but look how far that you have come. Breath, smile enjoy one another, you'll look back on this an laugh out loud! and if all else fails, take a ride to the olive trees for a change of scenery! Until the next time-Ida

One step forward, three steps back. Patience is a virtue! You will see the end of renovations soon! Wishing you all the best! Loved your antiquing adventure and purchases. 😊
I would have the living room furniture in a U shape facing the Sea view. It would be cozier and promote conversation. All your furniture needs to face the Sea imo. The fengshui in that beautiful house needs massaged. Try thinking outside the box, literally. Lining up furniture along walls is not always the way to create a cozy home vibe. Placing furniture kitty corner is a great way to add warmth. Putting a sofa in the center of a room facing the window view is an absolute must in your situation imo.
“It’s always something” so true! But that is the truth of it. So sorry about the leaks. Plumbing is my husbands least favorite thing ever! Water does so much damage so my heart breaks for you having this nasty little problem when all you want to do is move in and enjoy your beautiful new home.
Love always wins. This is how a family should live. Embrace the good, deal with the rest. I love how Luce loves the cats 🐈 ❤
Its always a joy to see this beautiful family on Sunday morning!
Good luck.
Turn the pillow cases inside out , reach inside with your arms and then grab the pillow at one end. Flip the pillow inside the case. Your welcome
Thank you for sharing the challenges of renovating a old home. It takes a lot of patience, I commend you as many people would not have the endurance!!! Keep going it will all work out!!!!
Those Luce's rosy cheeks and that smile makes anyone forget the stepbacks on the renovation, for "love always wins"! Kisses from 🇧🇷.
Luce is the most precious little girl. Her name suits her so well
Sorry about the leak.
God rewards those who persevere!!!
house is 1 euro , view is 1 million euro , your daughter and her smile priceless...
I love the relationship you all have together ❤ Luce is a sweet angel baby full of life, love and joy!
I love how they don't have negative energy even when things go sideways.. & the little one always having the time of her life 😂
13:11 Luce is so cute, sitting and taking care of her baby🥰🇺🇸
Imagine how they lived in those beautiful houses 1000yrs ago.
I'm amazed how they even built all those houses so high up.😊
LUCE 🎶YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE, YOU MAKE ME SO HAPPY🎶 I'm so sorry about the problems with your new home. Hopefully they will be solved soon. ❤
The leaks are a disappointment. We hope the neighbors will immediately act to resolve the problem.
Ciao.❤❤
Importante is only that you are happy. Whatever you do. Love from Germany
LOL!
Your daughter is such a happy baby. Perfect toy, a little vacuum 😂❤️👶
"La Mama bella tante" (so true, Luce!). I love to see what is for sale in the Italian vintage shops! Sorry to see the leak in the house when it rains. Very frustrating. Caterina is a very kind neighbour.
> EASIEST PILLOWCASE TRICK <
- Turn the pillowcase inside out
- Place hands inside the pillowcase in each of the corners
- Grab the ends of the pillow with the two corners your hands are in
- Roll the pillowcase down the pillow so now it is inside right
Protect the mattress with a mattress protector also the pillows need covers.
Let's pray that Luca gets an EXPERIENCED roofer who really knows what he is doing & can FIND THE LEAKS & FIX THEM ...ONCE & FOR ALL!!!!
You are putting those pillow cases on the hardest way possible. Gather up the pillow case like you would a stocking. Then put the case on the end of the pillow when it’s lying down and just pull up. Easy peasy! I hope that helps.
Hotel maid pillow technique:
Lay pillow flat.
Thank you family. I love hearing Lucia speak both English and Italian. ❤
Keep hanging in there. When all the problems are solved, you will have an amazing home!!!
What a beautiful view from your new house!
I think I would be overwhelmed by all the choices in the stores, wonderful that you found great pieces!! Hopefully the leaks are fixed soon.
In the US, we would call Luce a giggle box!! 🥰🥰🥰 She's just adorable!!
Well done raising Luce to be this smart, kind, beautiful little lady!
Ooooh, vintage shopping in Italy! Love it. I’m so glad you are using secondhand items.
GOD bless you all beautiful family
May your neighbors completely repair their balcony quickly and durably……blessings on those who are kind, helpful, and responsible. 🙏🏻
I do the same and it works beautifully!🎉
Hope you get all the leaks rectified soon!🙏🏼
@ecoflow should sponsor you all. Their portable power system would be great for you all now and when you finish the basement room. Also you could take it to the olive grove to use in the little house there or for whatever power requirements you need.
Your neighbors neighbors need to have that fixed asap. They should have someone repair that even if if the aren’t there. Same on them!
Sorry for the leaks, but amazing finds for the house! Luce has good taste- I loved the wooden rolling cart too!❤
Camping in your home will give memories to look back on
Bello Sara, Luca and Luce 😊❤ glad you are in the house. Now can focus on continuing renovating the house. Much love 🤗 ❤
🙏prayers for your neighbors to return and complete repairs quickly!
So happy you are now in your house as you continue to make it your home. Luce always makes my heart smile! The basket on her head gave me a chuckle! Congratulations on your move and may you have many happy years ahead of you!
I do wonder what little people who grow up with a constant phone videoing and taking pictures will be like. Or how they interpret parents talking to a camera 😂. She does it beautifully ❤
What an amazing view for you - every morning or any time of day or night, with lights in distant homes. Breathtakingly beautiful!
Beautiful ❤ love watching your videos every Sunday evening xxxx
So sorry for your set backs.Just when you’re doing so well.Finding your bits for the kitchen. It will work out ,we all get these hiccups. When it’s all fixed you’ll forget the setbacks.Luce is so sweet and funny and so clever and caring, you are doing a great job. When I had my first flat all I had was second hand things , things will work out .Look forward to next week seeing you get it all done 👍🏻 God Bless sending you luck and love ❤️ from my family in London xx 😘
One step forward, three steps back. Patience is a virtue! You will see the end of renovations soon! Wishing you all the best! Loved your antiquing adventure and purchases. 😊
Hello beautiful people Please remember to rest. Stay healthy. Your both amazing
ONE STEP FORWARD, TWO STEPS BACK--THEN ONWARD TO THE NEXT EVENT
1000 year old house. Yikes. Lots of work. Our 40 year old house is a money pit also. But it’s home. Your sweet daughter speaks very well. 🎈💕
“It’s always something” so true! But that is the truth of it. So sorry about the leaks. Plumbing is my husbands least favorite thing ever! Water does so much damage so my heart breaks for you having this nasty little problem when all you want to do is move in and enjoy your beautiful new home. Luce makes everything better by just being there doesn’t she🤗. I love how you dress her, she always looks so adorable and she is! She could look just as cute in a burlap bag! Ahh to be young and adorable again!! I always look so forward to these Sunday visits, and, by the way, I LOVE the cream colored furniture you bought for the kitchen! BRAVO! 👍👍🤗🙏🙏
Aah, sorry that you are experiencing this leaking- i think this is a thing that you will encounter as it is a century old building especially when it is a heavy rainfalls.
Bummer with the leaks. Im so sorry, you are working so hard 😕 Hope you can get it sorted out fast and go on with your planes. 🙂 Love it when you speak Italian 🥰 Have a great week ahead, regards hugs from Spain
