WHY do you and so many Italians not use dryers?? Looks terrible hanging clothes off of balconies. Italy is a rich country and that habit makes it look like Italians are poor! And please refinish and paint the exterior, the unpainted crumbling concrete ruins the whole house no matter how well you remodel the interior. These and graffiti are 3 problems that ruin the look of homes and buildings in Italy.

Beautiful new door and windows! Consider applying something decorative to the lower glass door so Luce will see that it’s closed. Children sometimes crash into full length doors because they are so busy running and playing.
I did this once as a child! My mother then added butterfly stickers, until I was older. Great advice ❤️
And elderly. My grandfather ran into my parents door and hurt his nose.
Great idea.
Add a decorative door grille to lower half of glass door which adds to the beauty of the door, protects the glass and gives the door frame strength. Grilles can be very simple to very ornate. Many solutions available. You can also do full length door grille too.
And birds. 💜 🙏Just yesterday I saw a beautiful bird who lost its life to a glass door. 🕊🪷

I agree with the flower box, however, it may interfere with the door. They may not have enough clearance .
The door should be painted whatever color makes you happy and puts a smile on your face when you enter.
Definitely strip off the old paint and varnish the door so you could admire the beautiful wood that it must’ve once been
There is something about the outside clothesline that makes a house feel like a cozy home. New glass has really improved your home.

Luca is amazing eating her dinner like a grown up. I love the natural light that your new door has created. You have done an amazing job so far with your renovations. You are both so inspiring, getting so much done despite the heath setbacks, and also your study load. It was so nice that your friends were able to visit and that Luce had her cute little friend. I also always enjoy seeing Luce feeding the cats. They must miss her so much when you go to Lucky Land.. it was also interesting to see how the clothes line worked. I love seeing your videos each weekend.
A decal on the door is advisable. The finials on the clothesline posts will be perfect. I always worry a bit about Luce as she walks near the fencing where she feeds the cats.

The color you choose to paint the front door could also be the color of your new pinecone finials on your balconies. Your taste is impeccable. Whatever you choose will look great.
In my humble opinion, I would sand and restrain and seal the existing door 🚪 brining it back to its original beauty and it would compliment so well the vintage furnishings you’ve added. Plus it would make all the beautiful tiles stand out in such an impressive way

The door is stunning, love the dolphin handle. Green or a blue/green would look lovely the other option is to sand it all back and stain in. It’s not good that you are waiting so long for the leak to be fixed but on a more positive note it gives Luca time to heal more ( otherwise he would be getting stuck in). Great to see all the washing out nothing better than drying outside. Luce is just so lovely, you are the most amazing parents, she is so clever, well mannered and loving. Her love for the cats and sharing with her friend is so lovely . Well done with the houses, wonderful that with your help the village will grow ❤xxx

Your door should be a color that makes you and Luca happy, since you love the water and were thinking of blue, that should be your color.
I am loving the idea of blue (my favorite color) doors, but I saw comments about green and the meaning, and also refinishing in the original brown. Now that you have the protective glass, you could leave the originals untouched, or paint according to your desires. Perhaps, test colors on long paper or cardboard and temporarily hang on the doors before you do anything to them so you can get an idea of how they would look. Whatever you do to the front doors will look different behind that reflective glass. Then you can choose the right color for you. I love the front door handles!!!
Maybe some distressed blue/green over the original wood allowing it to show through.
Luce’s facial and verbal expressions say everything--she always gives me reason to smile! Wow, the door and windows are going to make such a difference on that house! I was Luce’s age the first time I ate black olives & it lives in my memory as my first “grown up food” & remains a favorite. Love the dolphin handle & the way the house looks with all the beautiful light❤ Someday it would be nice to sand the old door & seal it, but with all you have going on, paint is more practical. Choose the blue of your sea view ❤ Love the cat feeding friend enjoying the ritual 🐾
I think u should consider stripping the old paint and staining the wood to keep it very rustic. But, i really dont know the style of houses there. I just love the very old stone walls and style there.
Sarah I would sand the door and bring it back to the original wood. Then stain and varnish to keep the wood looking beautiful.

Luca is adorable speaking Italian and English. It's amazing how perfectly the front door fits and the windows too. I guess they are custom made? Fantastic for more light, love that it has that bit of mirror reflection and good looking dolphin handle. I hope the repair people can come back soon for the leak, getting so close to finishing so it can really feel like your cozy home. Watching all this makes me want to move to Sicily!

The beautiful Dolfin handle is so elegant and artistic! You have kept the ancient but stylish interior doors for their ancient charm and Renaissance look from the inside, again, Perfect! Congrats on your door windows and Handel very nice choice 👍, Luca is a very lucky daddy that he can stay home with his family and be able to do things for them and the house never leaving to go out to work all day8-10-12- 16 hours a day and drive 35 miles each way or more.
