Awesome video! If you use a 2 teaspoons of vinegar the color holds better. The rice will also dry within about 40 minutes allowing for same day use. I added lavender scent to mine my daughter has some major sensory issues she sent 11 months of her life in hospital. These binds have been a total good send.

You mentioned you waiting for the day Kai wouldn't eat it and you purchaesd the kinetic sand. Is that bc this particular product is safe to eat or he just got over putting everything on his mouth like my kiddo. It's so hard to play with puzzles, books, basically webber hours in the mouth. She is 1y, so I just have to wait it out? Maybe another 6m?? I can't wait to play and use all your suggestions. Lol

Awesome video! Thank you for sharing. I wish I knew about rice coloring earlier. I only made bins with my lentil & beans (different colors). And a bin with sand is a great idea -going to use it! 👍🏼👍🏼
Btw I just discovered your channel and I live your videos!

Any suggestions for sensory bins for toddlers that still love to put everything in their mouths ?

Great question. You could opt for regular sand or uncooked pasta. They probably wouldn't keep putting sand in their mouth after a time or two ;) and the uncooked pasta might not be as appetizing either. But so long as you are supervising, I wouldn't worry too much about them exploring orally.

I think if you are going to put that much water you rice is going to break.I will be good if we add just little liquid coloring directly into the rice.
