I don’t know if there are any other dads who feel the same. But, I am glad to be apart of the mom’s club lol 😆😁. I didn’t have much parenting from my parents. It was either with a babysitter or left to myself. So, as you may figured I am not experienced at all. I had an idea of what I like to be as a dad but no idea of where to start. I really truly appreciate you and your videos. I am looking forward to enjoying all the new things I’ve learned from your videos. I am truly grateful. Thank you! 😁
Wow! Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a thoughtful comment. Please know that even though I do speak to “moms” in some of my videos, anyone who cares for a child is welcome and included here. Thank you for seeing that and for being here. I appreciate you and your drive to do better for your kids. 😊❤️
Some really good ideas and I like how you did the video. Straight to the point, very visual, and quick to clearly give instructions and tips that you learned along the way. Way to go mom ❤
Great ideas! Love these activities! Thank you! I’m excited to try them! I think I’ll try water bottles that have the ridges. I wonder if the texture would make it easier for baby to hold.
My son has a condition, that really need his brain engaged. I will try some of this. Please help some more if you can. He is behind with most his development
You're doing a great job looking for activities to support his development! Every child develops at their own pace, so if he's not ready for an activity yet, you can always try again at a later time. I have a few other videos that may help. Here are some fine motor activity videos: th-cam.com/video/xSTAjp-aIzY/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/video/z7E3fmE_1cM/w-d-xo.html How to encourage language development: th-cam.com/video/gQeqVf8tGsU/w-d-xo.html Easy baby activities for 9-12 months: th-cam.com/video/qmfllVI9Px0/w-d-xo.html
Hey Aisha! Cognitive development is how babies and children think, explore and figure out the world around them. Sensory activities are a big part of cognitive development, especially for young children. By feeling the texture of the bubble wrap, using their fingers to push the paint around, possibly hearing the popping of the bubble wrap, and seeing the different colors of paint, babies are using multiple senses to explore during this art activity. As they are doing this, the brain is making tons of connections as it acquires this new information! While something like bubble wrap painting may seem so simple to us as adults, to a child's brain, it is an activity that is loaded with learning opportunities and exploration! Hope this helps clarify! 😃
The Innovative Momma thanks a lot Your explanation really improved the way I should see that sensory play affects not only adults cognitive development but also improves infants and toddlers cognitive skills. As I am doing a research project on how sensory play affects cognitive development for under 3’s and I was stuck like how simple water or sand activity will help a little ones to think when they are young
Hi Deepthi! Some of these activities take a little while to set up, but most of them can be reused over and over! My son is now 21 months and still loves these activities. 😊
I know the struggle! This is totally normal and the way babies explore everything at this age. I do have a video on taste-safe sensory activities that you can check out here: th-cam.com/video/hgYhV-uDpRY/w-d-xo.html. *Please note: I do not recommend trying the the activities in the linked video until baby has been exposed to the foods used. Also, these are meant to be taste-safe, not edible, meaning it’s okay if baby gets a bit in his/her mouth but I do not recommend letting them eat them directly. Hope this helps! ❤️
All of these activities should only be done under very close adult supervision - but as always, only do what you feel is safe for your situation and family! 😊

Seems like mothers need to spend more time than baby on these activities
