    So glad to find this video. I’ve only seen people with the more expensive printer for eco solvent. I want one for cup wraps.

      Hello I did but didn’t record it. I never started using it cause DTF came out and that’s what I use now. I used the printer 1 time😩it’s still sitting in there.😆

    I wondering can this be used for sublimation

    • @lashes1211
      @lashes1211  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you would just need to put sublimation ink in the printer. I have the EPSON-2720 I use for sublimation did the same thing just added sublimation ink.

    Is sublimation ink required for printavle vinyl that will just be on cups as well? Or is this for htv only

    • @lashes1211
      @lashes1211  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      sublimation ink is different from eco solvent ink. this is not HTV(heat transfer vinyl). If you’re doing cups you want to do sublimation and use sublimation cups.

    How did you open the original bottle?

    • @lashes1211
      @lashes1211  ปีที่แล้ว

      they are very hard to open they are sealed tightly.... you may have to use a towel or dry washcloth to help get a good grip on the top to twist off.

    Is this the same as DTF?

    • @lashes1211
      @lashes1211  หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, DTF is different . Eco-solvent uses different ink and vinyl to print on. Shortly after this video I went to DTF printing . The eco solvent was too much work. Now I design in canva and have my prints printed at local print shop.

    The solvent in the inks will melt the hoses

    I cannot get this printer to print on printable vinyl it is so blurry and I have tried ever single print option it prints fine on regular paper but no go on vinyl I’m using the Siser printable vinyl. I converted to eco solvent ink and the printer functions properly but the prints on the vinyl is a mess

    • @lashes1211
      @lashes1211  ปีที่แล้ว

      Make sure your using colorprint easy vinyl. I use SISER. also print on the matte side. The glossy side is the sticky side that will activate the glue when heat is applied to your shirt. If you print on glossy side you will have smeared images. Photo matte setting for paper setting.Hope this helps. You will also need a transfer mask, do not mirror your image.

      @@lashes1211 check check and check. I’m using the Siser vinyl printing on the correct size using that print setting and still no useful print. I printed out an image on plain paper and it’s perfect. But vinyl. Nothing useful. I’m ready to try another brand of ink at this point. It’s weird and so frustrating!!!

    • @lashes1211

      Sublimation releases a gas when pressed … so you should always wear a mask and always work in a well ventilated area.

    How long have you been running this printer on ecosolvents? I see that you still have no clogs.. which is nice.. but.. is everything else ok? Have you changed the tubes and dampers for ecosolvent friendly ones? I ask this becausem usually, the original tubes do colapse after a few hours (or days).. and start leaking...

    • @lashes1211
      @lashes1211  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, I have been run ing this printer for the last 2 months no problems, no clogging, no issues. I also have the Epson 2720 running for 3 years no problems. Sorry your having issues but it’s all good for me.

    • @jerosacoa
      @jerosacoa ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lashes1211 No no.. you miss understood or i miss spoken. I have not tried this myself... i was just wondering. So.. to be clear.. no cloggs .. no issues... no leaks... no printhead damage on the 2720 for over 3 years with the Eco solvent inks?! All of this without any printer modifications on the tubes and dampers?

    • @jerosacoa
      @jerosacoa ปีที่แล้ว

      humm... i think i have figured it out. It's mainly because of the inks you are using. You are using water based eco solvent inks (not oil based ones which are acidic ...and therefore incompatible with the original tubes and dampers though it might be compatible with the printhead itself except maybe with the ink manifold). The water based eco solvent seem to be good for indoor usage.. but if you go and put those stickers on a car with direct sun light they will fade in time such as pigmented water based inks in printable vinyls. The main plus is the media combability.. but they will still fade making this a non viable solution for long term usage on outdoors..
      .... please correct me if i am wrong. I have much interest on this... and would love to hear your experiences..

      @@jerosacoa , I’m not making stickers this ink is used in conjunction with colorprint easy printable vinyl which means it is applied by pressing with ink.
      If you want to make stickers just use the ink that came with it. Hope that answers your questions😃
