And to those who say that the ink doesn't print well, it's because of the ink that you use that came with the machine, and the settings that need to be done. Some owners think that they get a printer. They put the ink in and they expect it to produce results without any tweaking and troubleshooting. You taught me something I have never even realized when it comes to doing prints.
Thank you for the straightforward details. I appreciate you respecting my time by only showing how to fill one ink holder since the process is the same for the others. Awesome tutorial & recommendation for paper.
New Subscriber! Need this printer for a last minute project and I am so thankful for this! You are absolutely thorough!! I'll be back when my machine arrives tomorrow. ❤

Sharena Thankyou so much for your help and guidance in setting up our sublimation printer. I’ll be getting mine in a couple of weeks and I’ll be using your video.. Again Thanks..
What computer are you working from? Try doing a power clean, then reset your printer back to default settings under the MAINTENANCE option on your printer then start the process over.
Question: Since the mirror is on in the Print Setting Preferences, Do you still mirror within your software? For example, for your vinyl? Or for any Print then Cut? I don't want to assume anything, so this is why I'm asking. Thank You for responding back to me. 😊❤

In the process of converting the Epson 4800 it says it’s missing alignments on the cayan section . I keep ppressing the clean print head mode and paper still prints the same .. not being fixed what should I do?
What do you mean by white lines? It’s gonna print a white border around your image. If you want to maximize the size of your photo use the software silhouette studio for your prints. My latest video shows how to do so.
Hi how are you? Your setting for paper is not available on my windows 11 it's either Epson matte or premium glossy or premium semi gloss can you advise please and thanks for the videos I'm just starting my sublimation life
I need to see the process. What program did you print from? How do you get this quality from a Mac computer? how do I transfer the image? how long . What heat temp?
Hiii Sharena🎉I am brand new to crafting. I purchased this exact machine and the Hippo brand ink, what all can I make with this? Please🌞 oh, I also purchased a Procolored dtf printer...is that machine for printing dtf transfers I get through Creative fabrica? Please🩷⚘️🐦Thank you, much!
Your sublimation machine is strictly for sublimation designs like shirts cups mugs anything of a high polyester count. Your dtf printer is for dtf these are two different processes. Dtf shirts are for shirts as well. You can get your designs from creative fabrica or Etsy or anywhere that has png files
I think you would have to change the heads and the tanks if possible. If not,you use an external tank system meaning you'll have to buy the extra tubes into the machine heads.
I need help! I purchased the ET4800, set everything up with Hiipoo sublimation ink and printed my first image. The color was brilliant! I set the heat press to 400 degrees for 90 seconds. I pressed the image onto 100% polyester fabric. The image was extremely faint. The ink did not transfer as it should. (not new to sublimation, I had an ET2740 and had no problems until the printer went kaput!). What in the world could be happening?
That is way to high and way too long. Try 400 for 40-60 seconds or 380/385 for 60 seconds. Check out a few of my sublimation videos that also may help.
Hello Sharena! When using sublimation ink, can I still use it for printing on regular paper, or is it exclusive to sublimation projects only? Thank you
Hello! I’m coming across a problem with all my computers at home where it doesn’t give me those printing preferences at all. What computer are you using?!
I watched a video that she said you can print documents and such with sublimation ink. She did a test and the pages she printed on regular copy paper with sublimation ink looked just as good to me as with regular ink so why switch?

I already have one and someone told me it’s very risky converting the one that I have because it already has ink in it. I can purchase another one just want to make sure it’s compatible with sublimation ink. Thanks
I just bought a second hand epson evotank printer and it had its original inks init. Can I remove it and drains the printer and than put the sublimation ink init?
No plain paper for the setup process and sublimation paper when you get ready to print out your sublimation image. You can use sublimation paper for the set up process but you would be wasting sublimation paper
Thank you so much I’m trying to get started and find the best sublimation printer, what is the difference with the 2803 and the 4800 and which one do you recommend
They are the same in my opinion the 4800 has a fax machine the 4800 has more if you are using it as an actual printer for paperwork and things like that but as far as for sublimation they are the same
I have an ET-4800 and some things print fine, and others the colors are wrong. Specifically, sometimes teal/green comes out as blue. I tried to do some watermelons the other day, and they were all blue.... I could not figure out how to fix it. Thoughts?

FINALLY! Just a short simple easy step by step on what to click and where to click! Thank you so much!
Definitely with you there Thanks
Move the regular ink to Dixie cups and add the sublimation ink to the Epson bottles. Hippo or Big Boy sublimation inks are best
Thank you great tips 😊
Thank you for the straightforward details. I appreciate you respecting my time by only showing how to fill one ink holder since the process is the same for the others. Awesome tutorial & recommendation for paper.
I just followed your directions for printer set-up. Just want to say thank you for being so thorough.
i have come back multiple times to reset my color management to a new computer. valuable information!
Glad this was helpful! 😊

Great Tutorial. I just ordered my Epson ET-4800.
Great!
SO INCREDIBLY HELPFUL, THANK YOU for posting!!

Where did u get the usb cord for the printer
This is great. My son just started a small printing business. I just subscribed. Thanks Sis!
Thank you so much for making this video. Straight to the point!
TFS!!! This video is right on time; I just got my 4800 today. I definitely will be following your steps. As far as sub ink goes, I like A-Sub.😊
Thank you glad I could help 😊
Niiice!!! Those settings are on point. I’m gonna set my 4700 up with the same. Thanks
You did an awesome job taking your time and explaining step by step. Ty so much. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thank you ❤️
I’m ready! Just got mine yesterday! Will be setting up some time this week!! Thank you!
Great tutorial! I’ve heard a lot of great things about the hippo brand sublimation ink

Great video. So much better then all that silly ai and chatgpt videos out there. Thank you!
lol thank you
Sharena
Thankyou so much for your help and guidance in setting up our sublimation printer. I’ll be getting mine in a couple of weeks and I’ll be using your video.. Again Thanks..
When you connected your printer to Bluetooth, is that how you got all of your images to come out clear and not blurry with all of those settings?
I need more help :(. My head alignment is not working. And on printer preferences I don’t get all of these options 😢
What computer are you working from? Try doing a power clean, then reset your printer back to default settings under the MAINTENANCE option on your printer then start the process over.
Thank you so much for the step by step...hoping to get my printer set up this weekend

You can use any brand ink you would like only use sublimation ink for sublimation
Do i have to keep the usb plugged up when not using the printer and could i use bluetooh if I dont want to use the usb?
Yes
@sharenalatrese_thecraftgoat which question is the yes for lol 😆
In the process of converting the Epson 4800 it says it’s missing alignments on the cayan section . I keep ppressing the clean print head mode and paper still prints the same .. not being fixed what should I do?
Try doing an alignment
Hi thanks for the video. Can I ask which heat press you use ?
Thank you soooooo much for the great tutorial. I tried a couple others before finding yours, and I just couldn't deal with how drug out those were. 😅😂

thank you I'm gonna save $80 now thanks too you 😊
@@farawannaalanis9311 happy that the info saved you money😁‼

Question? Why do you use the printer chord instead of Bluetooth? Bluetooth for me is so convenient
😂😂😂 I have no idea I’m old fashioned
I'm unable to find the color management on my ET4800. It's not like yours in the video. Any suggestions?
What kind of computer are you using! A lot of people who has a Chromebook run into this issue?
what if i put in the ink that came with it first
Now you have to remove that ink before placing in your sublimation ink they CAN’T MIX.
Hi Sharena 👋🏽. I just Subscribed to your channel. Now, I'm officially a New Subscriber. ❤😊
What if I've already used my printer with regular ink. Can I wait till it runs out then change it to sublimation
Yes. Make sure it’s completely empty so you aren’t mixing inks which will mess up your sublimation projects
Does this printer have a paper tray? I can't seem to find ANYONE or any photo showing it. I can't see how people are loading the printer.
Yes it loads from the back
If you want a paper drawer/tray you have to go with the 4800 series. I like having the drawer type.
So helpful thank you and have you had to alter any of your settings from when you made this video 😊
When I print people I leave everything to standard
How do I slow down the printing? It has it printing fast but not sure how to change that setting.
Under your print preferences click main options and turn your “biodirectional printing” button off.
Thanks for the video. I have a Epson Ecotank ET-2803. Can it be converted as well? Thanks.
Yes it will same process
@@sharenalatrese_thecraftgoat Thanks
How do you setup borderless printing?? I can NOT solve this issue!
I followed your tutorial step by step no issue and it’s still showing white lines on my paper when I go to print, and after as well

Does it have a replaceable maintenance ink pad box?
Just got mine today and will be using your video for set up

I don’t have those settings on my laptop , will I need to get a newer laptop
Thank you so much from Ireland!
hey great video, whats the difference between the ET-2800 and the ET-4800?
4800 has a fax they work the same
I don't have those printer settings. I have just the basic ones. Any suggestions? I have windows 11
Try going under the main computer settings and going under Bluetooth and devices then choose your printer and see if it can be changed there.
what heat press do you use for shirts? Do you use a heat press for hats?
Just what I needed! Thank you so much!
You're so welcome!
Do you think these steps will work when the 2803
Yes they are the same the 4800 just has a fax machine
What if I already do filled the dang things with the regular ink. Can you empty the ink already poured into the printer? 😭
Yes, you can use a syringe to remove the ink you don't want, or you can remove the ink tanks as a whole and clean them out.
I need to see the process. What program did you print from? How do you get this quality from a Mac computer? how do I transfer the image? how long . What heat temp?

Can I go back and forth between sublimation and normal printing? Would I need to buy an extra ink tank?
I have a Mac. any tips for getting the best color prints with Mac?
Sorry I work with an hp computer 😬
Thank you so much , that was a super helpful video
Hey just a question what’s the difference between inks
How do I convert my Epson 4800 if I already put the ink that came with the printer in?
You can’t 😕
I would remove the ink tanks and clean them out and then refill with sublimation ink.

Can you use the sublimation ink as a regular printer?
Yes it has to be an inkjet not sure how to convert a printer with cartridges to sublimation
This was great. Thank you for sharing
Can I print other things like stickers, photos or even scanning or photocopy?
Since the printer is converted or it’s only sublimation?
I would use it only for sublimation if your printer is converted
Hello, what happens if you initially used the ink that came with the printer. Then decide to change it to a sublimation?
I've seen articles that say that is near a waste of time it's so difficult to change back if that helps
Your right thanks for answering
I honestly would waste any time doing this haven’t heard anything good about this.
I think you would have to change the heads and the tanks if possible. If not,you use an external tank system meaning you'll have to buy the extra tubes into the machine heads.

Regular printer paper for the printer set up
