It was both. Just wanted to freak him out a bit, showing just how much she knows about Voyager (such as him being the most prone to fright among the bridge officers).
lostboy09100 IMO The Queen said the Kim statement to show that she also possessed intimate knowledge about Voyeger's crew, since the Captain mentored Kim in a way she didn't do for the others. The Queen made the threat personal to the Captain to drive home the point.

Harry: mam may I be excused? Janeway: why? Harry: its personal Janeway : Your duty shift has 5 more hours Harry: Alright damn it I need to go change my uniform:*(
You know, given what the Borg tried to do at the end of Scorpion, why didn't Janeway think to do the same. Agree to the Queen's offer, take the transwarp coils, then turn around and betray her, maybe use that pathogen we had to wait till 'Endgame' for her to use.
I've always thought the Borg, for all their technological superiority, just didn't know how to sell the package. What if the Borg offered each race a version of their most cherished fantasies and ideals? For example, if the Borg Queen was dressed up as Queen Elizabeth I and her drones were all knights in shining armor, with the inside of the Borg cube looking like medieval Canterbury (except with flush toilets). Races would line up to sign up.
They're machines, not holograms. They're only concern is to take every species a part of themselves. They don't care about the comfort of their targets, or even the speed of how they accomplish assimilation.
@@dadevi Wrong. The Borg are cybernetic organisms, not machines. They are closer to Alita Battle Angel than a Terminator. And, as the T-1001 convinced Sarah Connor in that excellent tv series, her model doesn't want to destroy or enslave humans, but only to manage them.

They never assimilated the trick to lying. "Resistance is futile you will be assimilated" "We just want to scan your ship to learn your tech, then we'll be on our way. We definitely won't assimilate you." would be a little transparent but they might fool someone. Or even Mars Attacks style "Do not run, we are your friends!"
And not once they talked about the subject in question. Not even a vaque mentioning. The "See you soon Harry" would mean that he is her lover and was abducted by Janeway - at least if you only know this clip :)
I have no issue with the queen... I DO have issue with her calling them up like a Saturday morning cartoon villain. Compare this to Janeway making an alliance with Borg in Scorpion. Just the voice of the legion talking down to her from every direction. It was ominous, threatening and completely alien. This is just sad.

Harry has a thing for powerful women, BQ knows that.
lostboy09100 She can have him! lol
A resume of the episode of Unimatrix Zero I have read in Memory Alpha mentions that "We'll see you soon, Harry" is a threatening of assimilation; neither I know if there is a ff which explain the meaning of this sentence but I can search it.
Why anyone would want to have there body chopped up like the queen pretty much of what happened to her is damn crazy in my eyes.
The borg are sick of Voyager. They wanted to send them home quickly. 😆
Harry: mam may I be excused?
Janeway: why?
Harry: its personal
Janeway : Your duty shift has 5 more hours
Harry: Alright damn it I need to go change my uniform:*(
Negotiation is irrelevant.
You know, given what the Borg tried to do at the end of Scorpion, why didn't Janeway think to do the same. Agree to the Queen's offer, take the transwarp coils, then turn around and betray her, maybe use that pathogen we had to wait till 'Endgame' for her to use.
I think the pathogen was brought by her future self
Cause Janeway does have principles.
You can not make a deal with the devil.
@@zincChameleon but the Borg are only interested in reaching the goal of perfection. So it doesn't matter how long it takes or how many species are lost. If it would only take one species to reach perfection they would have just assimilated them.

They never assimilated the trick to lying. "Resistance is futile you will be assimilated"
"We just want to scan your ship to learn your tech, then we'll be on our way. We definitely won't assimilate you." would be a little transparent but they might fool someone.
Or even Mars Attacks style "Do not run, we are your friends!"
She should have taken the free Borg Uber ride. Would have save her a whole lot of headache oh well.😎
Janeway vs Picard vs Sisko
I'll take capt Janeway any time!😊
"They're hailing us"
Janeway: "On screen"
Queen: "I WANT IT ALL."
AND I WANT IT NOW!
She knows Harry's weakness for Borg women.
You'd think a queen (of the borg, especially) would use the royal "We".
fuuh44 right!
It's the reverse, the drones use 'we' - as in 'we are the borg' etc, only the queen uses I
😆 "we'll see you soon harry" lol even with the borg harry kim can't catch a break.
And not once they talked about the subject in question.
Not even a vaque mentioning.
The "See you soon Harry" would mean that he is her lover and was abducted by Janeway - at least if you only know this clip :)
Harry accidentally pressed the “Clippy: Borg Queen edition” button as an add on to “Sentence” 2370
Yes, exactly. The Voyager writers did not understand the Borg at all.
THAT LAST PART GAVE ME CHILLS.
This scene always gave me the freaking creeps!
JenG593 Growing up, anytime I watched an episode about the borg, I’d go to bed that night and have nightmares
Jcb986 H yeah I know.
... we'll see you soon Harry! 😈
Good comment. What's up with the bridges lighting on Voyager in this scene? :)
@@rotyler2177 Well I think its the Borg Queen trying to take over the ship. Yikes..she gives me the willies!
i wonder if that final word of the queen was an inside joke in the writing room
Well hey, at least Harry might get a promotion opportunity as a drone... god knows he won't get one from starfleet anytime soon
I recon harry tried to hit on to the queen before janeway came to the bridge, so I recon that's why she said" we will see you soon harry"
In an alternate timeline, Janeway carves the transwarp technology out of the borg queen's warm corpse.
I found CPT Janeway to be the most intelligent, strong, articulate, and of course, sexy, captain of the entire franchise. But then, I'm just a man. So sue me. I drive a truck. You ain't gonna get squat.
Jeff Tappan
Janeway was so badass in this episode! When she killed that drone with the bat’ leth . . .
Jeff Tappan so did many female fans including me
she sucked...she was irresponsible putting her crew in harms way...the borg could have assimilated voyager whenever they wanted..or just destroyed them...that show was a joke...
She also gave the Borg a weapon of genocide to use against a species that was merely defending itself.
@@Levi_Skardsen They were not the aggressors and started out defending themselves but 8472 clearly said our universe would be "Purged" at the time. Their current mission was to kill everything not in fluidic space when Janeway got involved.
Queen: I'll make you an offer you can't refuse. Resistance is futile.
Anyone else amused by the fact that Chakotay seems more squicked out by the Queen than horrified like everybody else?
Well Chakotay has ongoing (and asymmetrical) baby-mama-drama with Seska (whose middle name should be "Thirst Issues") and she really is her own brand of horror, so all that's left for Chakotay is squicking. I mean, imagine Seska delivering Borg Queen's speech?! Eww.
@@zuriel7 Well Seska left for the Kaizon and they had no water so, guaranteed she had thirst issues.
WTF have you kids done with the goddamned English language....
It makes me wonder if harry kim. Was still broadcasting a borg carrier wave
You gotta piss yourself when borg queen says to you
-See you soon.
Followup to the ending:
Borg Queen: Harry, Janeway will never promote you. You'll be an ensign forever. Join us in the collective and you'll be commanding a tactical cube.
Harry: I'm in!
Janeway, Borg Queen and Seven.. in retrospect the weird girlfriends I had make a lot more sense now.
i should be horrified, but A GIRL KNOWS MY NAME
The only human woman I think the Borg Queen is scared of.
I love how they flesh out the borg in Voyager. My favorite Voyager episodes involve the Borg.
Never make deal with the borg, they just break it 99% of he time xD
Exactly. She was there for Scorpion.
THAT END PART of the Borg queen saying to Harry " We will see you soon " creeps me out.
I’m honestly surprised Janeway didn’t snarl, “No deal!”at her and hang up the space-phone😂 (I love that Marina Sirtis makes up these words like ‘space phone’ -she’s hysterical!😂💗)
Yeah I saw Marina live too. Very unlike Deanna Troi. Very chatty actually. The presentation actually went a lot longer than it was supposed to. Told us stories about how the producer would tell her to weigh a certain amount for the set.
I hate when people don't write the episode
Picard might be badass for making it to Borg and back again and setting an end to them in the Alpha Quadrant, but how badass is Janeway that the Borg in the Delta Quadrant, their home turf, are so afraid of her they even start negotiating with her and want to sent her off home asap?
Oh, that Queen. Cheers!
Admiral Janeway I pray is not is not compromised by the Dominion.
