My local agency literally never ever answers the phone and get voicemail call backs a couple weeks later. Only in the office by appointment, which is fine if ever could reach them to make one. So I was up on the list, they formerly, would send you a letter and application when your name came up and have ten/eleven days to return it. SO, check the portal and was selected. No letter, no answering my calls, never reply to emails. They call me back, ten days later, oh everything is online now. Nowhere on the site or portal does it say this, still says they send you a letter. Whatever, but she says I am ok, ask her, what about the ten days, "you are ok". Gave me the link for online app, immediately fill it out. Two days later, portal shows I was dropped due to not responding in time. Arggh.

I did the two rounds of requested documents, and today I got email asking if I’d like to come in and see a unit… I’m scared.

What are the changes to get approved after sending the documents when my rent payment history is not always on time
I wish you could talk about the process with those with vouchers. I was selected and gave my docs. I was approved after signing third party docs. They asked for my voucher pin. And I'm still waiting for an update. The portal has not notified me regarding singing docs regarding the approval. I'm not sure if they filled out the packet, Or if they have submitted the packet, but it won't show up until the inspection is passed and then the NYCHA portal would request for me to sign tenancy residency approval. Please create video for us voucher holders Thank you!

Wow... 👏👏👏 I have been looking for this comment awhile ago thank you, me too I have voucher and I was just calling from housing connect to submitted my documents and the following day I received messages to comes for interviews which I did 2 days ago and my application on housing connect still said pending appointment I hope I get approved 🙏

@@oluwadamilolaoriade5426 for the initial request of documentation it was a whole bunch of documents regarding income, lease, personal Docs like birth certificate, ID’s, SS cards, paystubs and bank statements of all household members.
By the time they reviewed and still found me eligible, they requested updated paystubs and bank statements. If it was still eligible, they called offered to see the unit. I liked it and then I went to office and signed signed third party papers to verify my income, credit check but not for score reasons, and something that verifies me and my sons student status. I had to wait for an approval. She said it takes two weeks but it only took 4 days. She also knew I had a voucher. She then asked for my PIN number and they did their thing. But not all buildings are the same and as quick. I just got lucky with this one!

Great information. Can you speak on the process of what will still happen if your eligible with all other documents, but your credit is not that great?
Will do! The minimum credit requirement is 580 and it is really hard to get be deemed ineligible for credit, and if you do, 90% of the time you can write a letter to clarify. Read the HDC Marketing handbook section that talks about credit requirements.

You can also show proof that you’ve been paying your Landlord on time for 12 months str8 to avoid the credit check
If you have bad credit but good income and no criminal history will poor credit deny you for low income housing
I apply for 2 bedroom for me and my two daughter and they email me for 1 bed room , I was approved but now the apartment that was showen is small, will I be able to remain on the waiting list for 2nd bedroom or will I lose my chances. Please advise..

Typically Compliance is in reference to the Developers team. So, if they say "your file is with compliance", it is likely with the internal team not the City . However, the files goes to HPD (Housing Preservation & Development) which is the city agency that approves the file. Their compliance team reviews and approves the file.

@@anikacorbett7714 Reoccurring and they can also question large deposits that are not from your employer.
I have a CITYFHEPS voucher and the property did a virtual viewing with videos and photos of the unit. I did this yesterday. They said that there is 1 unit and only 10 applicants. What is next and do we show bank statements always?
What replacement documents are accepted? For Ss Card and Birth Certificate?
Hello, I suggest asking the leasing agent as this may vary based on the program you’re applying for.
In the interim, you can also go about seeing how you can obtain a replacement - though I know that may take a while.

Hi everyone with my experience after 2 years I have been selected by multiple and contacted by one authority I recommend applying for multiple if you can the wait-list can take years. After background check there's a likely probability you will be placed within a month however it depends on the situation and can take a long time.
I haven't received a response but they have started the selection in some of the applications. What will I do?

Hi, regarding Zelle deposits, if I lend my son money almost every week and he repays me, how does that work? My bank statement shows every instance where I sent him money through Zelle.
Hello, typically if the agent can noticeable see that the money goes in and out to the same person, your clarification that it’s a loan will suffice. This is also something you can always explain in a self clarification.

Sorry to hear this happened. Advise the Leasing Agent and see what they allow you to submit. I also suggest that you apply for replacement in the interim

Just be honest. Let it pass if things are repaired and it will fail if things are not fixed.
I don’t think she would advise to do anything different to increase your chances of I’m not sure what you are trying to achieve. Why would you want it to fail? To move? Or get out a lease contract?

Ok they called me I had my interview in Feb 2021 gave my money order I'm still waiting for them to email me or call me I still see they still working on the back of the building then I'm looking where it says the deadline is in July 2021 but they interview me very early hopefully I'm one of them that get called I don't do taxes because I have ssi and they don't take taxes out so they understand that that's also letting them know that is my income and I'm a citizen but it takes them so long to let u know I'm assuming they did the background check already they didn't email me they called me

Hi Daphine, credit score is a minor factor and the minimum required is 580, however, it is at the Landlord's discretion if they want to accept an applicant with a score lower than the aforementioned. It is very hard to be rejected for credit though - so it has minor impact. Since you're a CB, you have a higher chance of being contacted as long as there aren't a lot more applicants with CB preference with a lower log number.

Hello, there is no specify timeline. I suggest following up with the Leasing Agent.
If HPD approved you but you have a high log number does that mean you will get an apartment?
Typically a file would not get to the Agency unless there is a unit available for that log #. In rare circumstances applicants file that where reviewed by the Agency do not end up getting a unit. This is likely when a lower log number appears to be eligible for the unit
Yeah, I think the worker in Myanmar is splitting the money my friend got a job. My rent went up higher than an hour. Do you know how long it generally takes for hdc to approve an application once my file is sent to them?
I have seen approvals in 1 day and I have also seen approvals that took more than 3 weeks.
It varies and depends on a lot of different factors, but it should definitely be less than 30 days.

@@yaelbrown760 I think it’s during. It’s all part of the HDC thing. You’ll sign a paper authorizing the background check.

I’m in the process now and was just recently asked for a second round of documents. However, I’m mobility disability and I know for a fact that some CB preference applicants have already been approved. Does this mean that they’ve filled up all of the m/d apartments and they’re checking my eligibility to determine if I can go on their waitlist? I know that m/d applicants are supposed to get approved first; I still have not been approved or denied yet. Thanks in advance for your help!
Hi Rasheeda, They would not ask for additional documents to place you on their waitlist. It's likely that they have now gotten up to your application or they are approaching your applications and they have sufficient amount of unit up to your log number or even beyond.
Comply with what they are requesting and be sure to have everything in writing. They are at liberty to process different preferences at once, as long as they have enough units for all.
I am confident all will be well with your application. Just stay on top of them and ensure that you are promptly providing them with what they need.

Talz Da Resource Queen I was just told by my agent that there are no more apts available in my income bracket...guess that means I will be waitlisted. I’m so frustrated!! Don’t understand why they’d ask for more documents if there were no apts available.

When I applied only my kids dad was working and they messaged me so fast about interest and by the time they contacted me, I was working. Will that cause a problem when they ask for information? I Already did a viewing.
No it will not so long as you have the supporting documents and your household still meet the income requirements

Yes, you can. As long as it does not exceed the asset cap which is the maximum income for a household of four for that AMI
