Yes, slowing down a little does wonders. We over look lots when in a hurry. I learned this at an early age. My uncle still runs around with his head cut off and every year something gets backed into. His vehicles have no bumpers left. Lol We've been running corn all week long, testing low 20's with some green still in the stalk. In Indiana. Take care and good luck

Hi Zack and family , I just had a few minutes before i go out to the shop and make some repairs on our own equipment here. This video is a good safety reminder for all of us accidents can happen to anyone of us especially when things get busy. And its always important to work with our young people on farm safety. Awww, that sucks! When I was about 9 I went down about 40 steps! I didn't ever hurt too (that was the weird thing) and I did it TWICE! I also fell off a 9ft tall fire pole at our school and knocked the wind out of me. I'm glad she's ok! Have a safe harvest!
Safety is no joke. I had an auger finger come loose off our header and come through the front windshield passing within an inch of my head.... Shattered the front window and the tank viewing window. Shut it down, went to town and straight to the liquor store! Glad She’s ok!! Keep up the amazing videos!

So grateful the little one is ok.... Within a mile of the MN dairy farm I grew up on guys were missing 1 leg and 2 arms. Yup, 3 amputations within a 1 mile radius of my home. I went through the beater on Shultz manure spreader when I was 14. Lucky to be alive. Neighbor 1.5 miles south ran over their toddlers head with the big tractor...horrible. Please keep safety first with equipment. Love the channel!

I know this is an old video but I felt the need to watch it again. Harvest is going to be a tough one this year with Mother Nature dumping snow on us earlier this week making our harvest window that much smaller. I’ve always been a go and get it done kinda guy and I’m guilty of maybe being a few steps further ahead than I should be. I needed this reminder to slow down because the last thing I want is for my son or anyone of my family to get unnecessary hurt. I can’t say it enough but thank you for this video.

Some 36 years ago, my then 3 year old daughter tripped and did a header into a two door divider jamb and wound up with a concussion and two very black eyes. Very scary at the time but she came through just fine. I'm sure yours will be fine as well. Thanks for reminding us about safety. Take care.

Oh my, very sorry to see that Isla took a fall. Even more sorry to hear that she's suffered a concussion. I suffered the same almost 20 years ago when I flew off a horse and whacked my head on the road. Never been the same since, unfortunately. yeah farming and stuff like that can be the scariest things in a farmers life but she's tough and handled it well and we see she's recovered and i'm sure everyone would do what they can to be safe while farming

Man I almost started to cry when I heard your daughter took a header off the tractor. My daughter was jumping on our bed when she was three, she fell off and knocked herself unconscious briefly, so I can appreciate what you and your wife are going through. Looks like the tractor was parked on dirt, thank god! Glad shes ok! Not that it was her fault but sometimes the best lessons hurt it a little, im sure most of us can relate.

First thank God your daughter is ok! Secondly I know that inside feeling and guilt dad is feeling afterwards. My oldest daughter while learning to walk... I was sitting with her on the floor and was trying to get her to walk on her own and before I knew it, she took off like a shot acrossed the room and before I could stand up and go along with her she ran head first straight into the corner of one of our end tables and knocked herself out and within seconds had a seizure. Long story short she was ok but got a heck of a goose egg and a nasty bruise but I damn near lost my freaking mind and blamed myself for everything ..the ... If only I had...started and took me along time to forgive myself for not protecting my lil girl. Of course it really wasn't anyone's fault, just like this accident wasn't anyone's fault that your lil one fell, it is just one of those things that happens in life, but when things like this do happen all loving parents blame themselves when really.. it just happens. I could see in dad's eyes on the ride home your blaming yourself....don't go down that road! This is why they are called accidents, the only way you could have prevented it, is if you would have known she would fall before she fell and you don't have ESP! Lesson of the day is kids are going to get hurt doing everyday normal things and there is nothing a parent can do to prevent them all! God Bless and again I am very happy your little precious one is fine.
I live just south of Madison, Wisconsin, earlier this week it was a comfy 60 degrees, now it’s frigid 40 degrees, edit: at least she only got a concussion, it’s cute how’s she’s still acting like nothing really happened, she’s very tough, she just looks tired

Some 36 years ago, my then 3 year old daughter tripped and did a header into a two door divider jamb and wound up with a concussion and two very black eyes. Very scary at the time but she came through just fine. I'm sure yours will be fine as well. Thanks for reminding us about safety. Take care.

Oh my, very sorry to see that Isla took a fall. Even more sorry to hear that she's suffered a concussion. I suffered the same almost 20 years ago when I flew off a horse and whacked my head on the road. Never been the same since, unfortunately. Help Isla to take it easy; hopefully the headaches will not visit her. We will be praying for all of you!

I remember when my daughter fell out of the back of my pickup. She had a concussion and a nasty gash above her lip. Scary!
yeah farming and stuff like that can be the scariest things in a farmers life but she's tough and handled it well and we see she's recovered and i'm sure everyone would do what they can to be safe while farming

And yes dont be too hard on yourself, the kids will sometimes learn the hard way, now she knows how badly it hurts to fall of a John deere, and she will take better caution next time. Man I almost started to cry when I heard your daughter took a header off the tractor. My daughter was jumping on our bed when she was three, she fell off and knocked herself unconscious briefly, so I can appreciate what you and your wife are going through. Looks like the tractor was parked on dirt, thank god! Glad shes ok! Not that it was her fault but sometimes the best lessons hurt it a little, im sure most of us can relate.
I'm still moved by this incident, and very happy your shadow is okay.
My little girl is one year younger then Isla and it makes me laugh how much they're alike with their mannerisms.

First thank God your daughter is ok! Secondly I know that inside feeling and guilt dad is feeling afterwards. My oldest daughter while learning to walk... I was sitting with her on the floor and was trying to get her to walk on her own and before I knew it, she took off like a shot acrossed the room and before I could stand up and go along with her she ran head first straight into the corner of one of our end tables and knocked herself out and within seconds had a seizure.
Long story short she was ok but got a heck of a goose egg and a nasty bruise but I damn near lost my freaking mind and blamed myself for everything ..the ... If only I had...started and took me along time to forgive myself for not protecting my lil girl.
Of course it really wasn't anyone's fault, just like this accident wasn't anyone's fault that your lil one fell, it is just one of those things that happens in life, but when things like this do happen all loving parents blame themselves when really.. it just happens.
I could see in dad's eyes on the ride home your blaming yourself....don't go down that road! This is why they are called accidents, the only way you could have prevented it, is if you would have known she would fall before she fell and you don't have ESP!
Lesson of the day is kids are going to get hurt doing everyday normal things and there is nothing a parent can do to prevent them all!

I live just south of Madison, Wisconsin, earlier this week it was a comfy 60 degrees, now it’s frigid 40 degrees, edit: at least she only got a concussion, it’s cute how’s she’s still acting like nothing really happened, she’s very tough, she just looks tired
