    Jason, First let me say a huge huge thanks ! You're a genuis!!😄😁. I just got the S21 Ultra and I was going nuts trying to get Android Auto to work ..ran to the store at 10pm to get a new USB to C data cable , spoke to Verizon tech support and nothing was working till I found your video. Huge thanks !!! You made my night , it works now!😁

    Thanks for the tip, I had the same issue. You don't actually need to install the app though, it's built in on Android 10. Go to settings -> Google -> Devices-> Android Auto and you get to the same settings page. The rest of your instructions worked for me and wireless is now working for me.

    • @wildmaiden
      @wildmaiden 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @steve654577 try using a USB cable to make sure everything else works first. If that works, then follow the instructions above to enable wireless.

    • @wildmaiden
      @wildmaiden 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @steve654577 that's progress, at least you know it's not a wireless issue. Does USB work with your S9? If not, then it must be a setting or issue with your Kenwood.

      @steve654577 try to make sure you join the Google play Services Beta. go to play store search for google play services. will be already installed. scroll down and click on join beta. that may help. I don't know if this is still necessary but I had to do it with my s10 and when i upgraded I checked and i was still in the beta program. Also check ur firmware for your head unit

When connected no media sound, switch over to Bluetooth then play a song from TH-cam switch back to Sirius XM media sound is back. Is it because of the Android auto app installed? I have a 2021 nissan murano. I've gone through these steps and it won't work without the USB. It's incredibly frustrating. The fact that Android Auto isn't wireless from the jump is a huge flaw. Absolute trash. Having to plug it in and have it charging your phone, you can't keep it plugged in for long trips and have your phone charging. It makes no sense to have to switch over to factory navigation when you unplug the USB and not to mention its dangerous.

    • @marshja76

      Are u sure u're device/model supports wireless...lots of confusion about newer models and this newer tech...video was for an aftermarket Kenwood..good luck though..

      sorry. If its a stock head unit that may be the problem. Google is having all kinds of issues with android auto right now. I've actually stopped using it till they figure stuff out. Still works for me just to buggy to be worth it. It happens and they usually fix the issues eventually. You could always see if maybe there is a firmware update for you vehicle. I had to do a firmware update to get it working in my wifes stock RAV4. Also as I forgot to mention in the video-- you should also be running the Google Play Services Beta version. Basically just go to the play store and search for Google Play Services (it will already be installed) scroll down to where it says "join beta" and join. Good Luck
