Fixed!!! Thanks for sharing. My wife's iPhone and my friend's Samsung S21 all worked. I did find my phone was disabled. I ended up restoring the infotainment system back to factory default and going through the whole set up again.
You're a lifesaver! I had tried the dozen and a half tips in other videos, nothing worked and I was ready to scream. Then I found your video - I figured it was a good sign that you had a Honda, since I have a Honda. I went directly to that menu and sure enough, it showed UNKNOWN DEVICE - DISABLED. I enabled it. It promised that the device would be connected the next time it plugged in, and it did connect. Android Auto worked perfectly. Thank you so much!
Your amazing!!! I have bought several USB cords and nothing worked! I have a 2019 also and this is exactly what I needed to get my android auto working!❤
if this doesn't work, here's another solution : go into your "smart things" app and unpair the "hands free link". then plug it back into the USB in your car. it'll ask you to pair the device. select "always". boom, you're back in business! you'll have to customize your settings again but it works.
Nice! We have a 2019 CRV and I have an S21. It worked fine for 2 years, but all of the sudden it stopped connecting. Trying this as soon as I get home. Thank you!
I just made it work on a new nissan sentra with a new s23 plus. All that had to be done is to delete all connected devices in all possible places including Bluetooth connectivity. After that everything works
Thanks for the video. I have a S20 and a Pioneer radio, in my case it does work for a few minutes but then always get disconnected. I tried with other phones and they always work well :(
My question is about the setting on your phone vs Android auto. Since I bought the new radio none of the setting that I use seem to getting saved. i.e. Let say I change the maps to night mode it will stay that way until I turn the car off and back on and both settings on phone and AA on the radio say night mode. But will be in day mode

Pressing and holding the power button on the Honda CRV 2021 to reboot the media system helped me.

For me the fix was - I had to open my mobile's notification about the connection setting and change it to MIDI (the default was file transfer).
