I made the mistake of deleting the Android Auto app but I realize, now, that Android Auto is still on my phone so I guess I haven't lost much because I can now use it with Google Assistant, however, now, I cannot get into Google Play Store, for some reason. Does that problem have anything to do with my deleting the Android Auto app?

It will let you use an audio app, you just have to make sure your phone is set up so the app you want to use can access the files.

The combo of Android Auto & Apple Car Play can be added to your existing radio & display screen by the addition of a special conversion interface unit. Two companys who make and sell these units are Navtool and GROM. There may be others I haven't heard of.
Each co. has units covering a very wide range of years, makes & models of cars. Nevertheless, not all vehicles are covered. At their websites you can enter your car's info to see what's available. The various kits include everything you need, and cost in the neighborhood of $500 to over $700 depending on features. If you're handy, you can install yourself, or have an auto radio place do it.

I don't think so I think it just have the native calendar which just shows only events that you put in.

Did AA Mirror Plus automatically drop into the App list? After I downloaded it, it's not showing on the app list.
Sometime you have to go out the app and back into the app and it'll reset itself

Just turn on the A .C. and direct the air flow towards the phone. There is no way around that a hot car on a long road trip is overheating waiting to happen with the car A.C. off.

yes it is when the phone is on Android auto and you see the green phone and then the red phone press on the green phone it'll bring up your phone menu and just press on the three dots and then you have an option to go to your headset

@@bradleysoles352 There is no option to operate your climate control built into AA or ACP unless your car was built with that specific capability. If it was, your owner's manual would provide instructions where to find the appropriate app.

Ridiculous....nothing new or hidden features
I was hoping that there were some hidden features to let you go to the next song using the screen because I always set my phone down in my little cubby and my dash. If I want to skip a song I can't do it from the nav screen I have to pick up my phone and go to the song list and then skip it. Am I missing something or can you just not do it like that? That's very inconvenient. And it's one thing I don't like about it at this point.

I've been using Pandora for over 6 years without an issue with probably 5 different phones. I have a 2017 Elantra Limited and a 2022 Civic Sport Touring with wireless AA. If the app is on your phone it should automatically show up on your head unit once AA is running.
Why dose mine take so long connecting to my phone. I sit and wait for ages and then just drive off without waiting for it to connect. If I was needing GPS i would be at my destination before it connects.????? Please let me know before I return it as not satisfactory Please

My android auto disconnects as soon as I unplug the USB even though I activated the wireless mode.
I have a brother who car does the same thing I don't know what that is I tried to troubleshoot it but still couldn't figure it out.

Android Auto for phone screens just shut down. Now I have to use google maps with "assisted driving"
Google maps in landscape doesn't show the media controller, its just for those drones who hold their phones in portrait while they walk into walls or posts. It also doesn't speak out texts to you, unless you use a voice command.
I've always hated apple and apple products, but between removing google music and forcing us to the inferior youtube music (which after years, still doesn't support shuffling playlists with voice commands like google music did.) and now ending android auto for phones.
I find myself spending more and more time distracted, fucking around on my phone for basic things like skipping songs, changing and shuffling playlists, or having text messages read to me.
Apple is looking really good now.

Android auto is crap..It has a bug that when you play music from your phone you get " AUDIO PAUSED" You can hear music but you cant control the volume. Any ideas ??? I have tried everything.
