just to clarify one thing, actually 2tz-fe was mainly reworked 2rz engine made for the 1989 toyota hiace h100. both are minivans developed in the late 80s so no wonder why this happened. either way, as a fun fact, toyota made a 4.0 v8 hiace h100 (1uz-fe). only 1200 were ever made but it most definitely was the fastest minivan in the world at the time.
Easy enough to tell if the sads bushings have been done. All the early vans had non rebuildable sads, later (93 or 94+) had ones that the bushings could be replaced. They are reasonably easy to visually differentiate. A manual previa will need a later sads shaft to replace the bushings

This was my family car as a kid. It was solid, multiple trips from UK to Western France. Not seen one in years.
