  • Hey guys its good to be back! Thank you for your patience, and I hope you enjoyed the video! SO, what did you think of the Windx65? It certainly is one of the most unique looking keyboards I have looked at so far, but is the price justified? Also considering some of the PCB issues, was I just unlucky, or was there a lack of quality check here? Though I can't say for certain, having seen other TH-camrs who have reviewed this board and had similar issues, it would make me think the ladder. Considering the other options out there in the custom keeb market, unless you're crazy about the color and name, you're probably better of getting something more affordable. As always, thanks for watching! If you're new here and you like what you see, consider subscribing because there is more keyboard content coming your way!

very good video i dont think the issue you had was due to the switches, as i have heard this same issue from people with other keyboards manufactured by the company who manu the wind x 65

Hey I'm wondering something, so I currently have a wind x with a carbon fiber plate, owl stabs, ktt rose, gmk keycaps and only plate foam was used. I've had previous keyboards in the past mainly stacked acrylics smkeyboards and they all sounded quite terrible, mute, high-pitched, no bass, flat, especially where the stabilizer keys are located enter, space, backspace all some weird scratch feeling sound or mushy or quiet.
I've asked around and seen videos, done some research and online says plate foam reduces reverberation but also ping. pe foam can sound marbly having a sound signature but can also possibly flatten the sound and make every keyboard sound exactly the same, but advantage is it can also point sound towards you rather than sound going down into the keyboard.
For my wind x, I'm looking to try new switches and wondering if anything can be done to create the loudest sound possible, bass if possible, but not make everything sound the same. At first, i thought i liked deep bass sounds which i do but im not sure what foam should be used. I just want a loud sound where it feels heavy. My current keyboard is high-pitched and when i press the key, it feels and sounds incredibly too light like it's not hitting anything.
Many people suggested epsilon prevails. I also have a backup pom plate but after using every keyboard with pom i wasn't sure if i like pom. I've only owned one keyboard a kbd75 with OA switches, SA keycaps, brass plate and it had increible deep bass
All i know is i want something that doesnt sound flat, that doesnt feel too light. I want something heavy and where i can barely press a key and it will be loud. deep bass if possible. However, i dont want all switches to sound the same. Also, i like SA, mt3 for being comfortable but they seem to sound exactly the same like blocky for SA while mt3 has this weird plastic sound. gmk or pbt epbt feel the most natural
What foam, plate, switches would you recommend for the wind x?
The only other keyboard i used i liked was an smkeyboards with ktt rose 75% but have no idea what foam was used, gmk keycaps. although there was the pcb showing underneath so im guessing no case foam was used at least
From videos, i seemed to like banana splits and creams but not sure. I was also handed 10 different switches, and banana splits and creams felt the best
