    Lore inaccuracies aside, the sound design is absolute top notch, especially the low humming when Sauron walks up to Suladan and as he whispers to his ear

      Honestly despite the lore inaccuracies the Shadow games feel like something Tolkien would write. Hell they even took influence from Catholicism with the Black Captains of Sauron being a twisted inversion of the Trinity.
      Also I mean this is meant to fit into the Peter Jackson films more than the books since WB doesn’t have rights to the Silmarillion and because the films already break the lore quite a bit (in fact the games probably break the lore less than the movies do tbh).

      Can you imagine how cool it would've been if Aragorn fought against Isildur who was now a Nazgul it would've been so badass Aragorn fighting his ancestor.

    • @XJ0461C
      @XJ0461C 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Nope, they're all completely contradictory. The story of Suladân, a name they just ripped from a 2001 tabletop miniature game tie in for the movie btw, is just a copy of Ar-Pharazôn who never became a Nazgûl as he was born 867 years after they first appeared. Nor did Helm Hammerhand, born 3,881 years after they first appeared.
      Both of their fates are recorded in the books and none of the Nazgûl were ever replaced or women. Only one Nazgûl is ever named besides the Witch-king, his second in command Khamûl who they didn't even bother adapting for some odd reason.
      Game should've just focused on telling its own story rather than trying to fit in with one it wasn't compatible with. Agandaûr from War in the North is a good example of this done well. The Tower and the Black Hand were interesting enough and enhanced by Sauron's power, they could have brought them back or introduced other non-wraith lieutenants.

  • @Rildar

    Talion of Gondor. Of all the Nazgûl, his fall was most tragic.

    • @christophersanchez7731
      @christophersanchez7731 4 ปีที่แล้ว +20

      They can’t be destroyed, they’re undead and bound to Sauron forever
      Same reason why they can’t betray him as they lost their free will as Sauron’s undead puppets
      It’s a reason why Talion can’t die too as he’s part Wraith, bound to Celebrimbor to stay alive
      An exception is Isuidur in game as hes apparently among the last Nazgul chosen after he died
      Talion was able to break Isuildur’s bond to Sauron to make him pass onto death, and later replaced him as the new Ninth Nazgul
      It took the destruction of the One Ring to destroy the Nazgul and set their souls free

    • @cursedranger1214
      @cursedranger1214 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@christophersanchez7731 they can be destroyed. You even see it in the video, Isildur was a Ring Wraith, and Talion freed him from it after Celebrimbor Dominated him. That's why Talion was able to take Isildurs ring.

      @@igorpodemski9596 i mean they are not killed but they get replaced as nazgul, for example the two asian ispired women beat two nazgul and take their rings, in turn becomming the next nazgul, the originals probably didnt die or get destroyed but they where removed from office so to speak. ofc nothing of this is cannon but that makes the shadow series so great, because it isnt confined and cornered by what is and isnt canon

    The sisters belonged to the Shen people. Free men, and The Kingdom of Shen was a nation located in the far east of Middle-earth.
    Native to the steppes of Amrûn and the dunes of the Last Desert, Shen began as a relatively small tribal land with a rich history shared between the Edain and the last full-blooded Avars. Its borders have fluctuated dramatically since it was founded due to the many wars it has fought, making it one of the most battle-tested nations of the Eastlands.
    In the chaos of the late Second Age after the fall of Nûmenor, the Shen leader called Sagong finally managed to unite the nomadic tribes between the Last Desert and the Orocarni Mountains. As emperor, he and his sons undertook a series of military campaigns-renowned for their brutality and ferocity-spanning much of the East and forming the Kingdom of Shen, briefly the largest contiguous land empire in Arda's history. . His would have remained a nomadic empire, with immense mobile castles trained by great beasts and an army following him.
    The Empire that Sagong had built from the ground up would eventually see its end at the hands of his own daughters, Riya and Yuka, who returned home from a campaign to conquer Mordor corrupted by the Rings of Men they had acquired. The princesses killed Emperor Sagong and took control of his throne as co-rulers, the wickedness of the act causing many of the Empire's tribes to revolt, resulting in an all-out civil war. Eventually the Empire collapsed and the Sisters fled what remained of the Kingdom of Shen to join Sauron in Mordor. The government of the Kingdom fell into the hands of the general of Sagong.
    Many of the nomadic tribes of the former Empire would eventually reunite in the Third Age to form a confederation, whose sole objective was to fight the invading forces from Harad, Rhûn, Khand, and Umbar, under the direction of Mordor and Sauron.
    They eventually rose from the dust after the ascension of ARAGORN to the throne of Gondor and Arnor, and with the realm united they maintained peaceful, if detached, relations, like the inhabitants of Rhûn who embraced the cause of Bor the Faithful and the Southern Haradrim tribes , who repudiated serving Morgoth and his servant Sauron, and for this reason persecuted and enslaved by their own kingdoms but then freed by Elessar himself.

It's excellent writing, and even if it doesn't stay true to Tolkien's tale, it's a pretty damn good story nevertheless.
