    In this demo I am testing out using DecoArt Satin Enamel White as an additive. Just as I use Basics Cadmium Yellow Light Hue as an additive, I figured the satin enamel would have the same effect. It did. Yay! This really opens up a lot of doors as far as straight Pours go. Basically, any color can be made into a cell maker with the addition of this white, which is obviously more versatile than the yellow. Other colors used in this pour were Basics Dioxazine Purple and Quinacridone Magenta and Artists loft flow white.

    that purple background is gorgeous. If I was painting along, I might have stopped there. The cells were amazing as well. Are you saying that DecoArt satin enamel white is the reason you got big beautiful cells?

      Matte paints cell in a straight pour. That satin enamel is very flat. As is milk paint.

    Min 9:00 "Enamel paints"? I'm a little confused now. Oy. And Gina, when you pour you're very careful to tend to that final little center tail. Can you show us, on a finished painting, where the center tail ended up? I seem to lose that area in the finished product and wonder why it's so important when you end the pouring phase.

  • @jessicaschubach4174
    @jessicaschubach4174 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Gina, I've watched this video numerous times and it sounds like you only mixed the satin enamel in the 3rd. & 4th. shades of purple cups. Then the lightest and last color is mixed with artist loft white not to over do the satin enamel. Is this right? I'm a little confused because you also said that you mix all the paints with 25% satin enamel, so do you mix the lightest shade with both satin enamel and artist loft white? Sry, I've tried this several time with no results and I'm wondering if I'm following your instructions wrong.

    So this might be a silly question but i'm in love with the mica pigment powders I know they are normally used in epoxy painting, but can I add the powder directly to the painting after i'm done with my acrylic pour kind of like adding glitter? Or maybe even directly to the acrylic paint for like a sheen or added dimension? or does it have to be added only in epoxy?

  • @enchantingelements9843

    Maybe a silly question but do you mix the satin enamel with straight color prior to adding any pouring medium or do you mix all separate with PM to consistently then mix the to the shades you want? I had one successful attempt then second try the enamel separated not cracking but looked like curled milk around all the other nice colors, maybe because I torched after stretching, so thank you for your excellent. advice in that regard..
    *You are absolutely my favorite pour artist as your instruction and transparency are greatly appreciated :D
